The 180 cheery rooms and suites at the Renaissance Phuket Resort & Spa offer all the usual luxury fixings (think fuzzy robes and separate marble bathtubs and showers), plus ample glass features to maximize the property’s postcard-worthy Mai Khao Beach locale. Floor-to-ceiling windows provide panoramas from every room, and interior glass walls help flood ensuite baths with natural light. The fully equipped fitness center is also a knockout with still more painted glass features framing state-of-the-art cardio equipment. Sneak in a workout, then unwind at the full-service spa or relax poolside with a cocktail from Sand Box Bar. Of the resort’s five restaurants, Loca Vore takes made-to-order dining to an entirely new level, with chefs offering a selection of the day’s fresh catch and preparing each dish to your taste.
In the Area
Mai Khao Beach is a stunner, but visiting a few more won’t hurt. Beach-hop from lively Patong to secluded Kamala, then head over to posh Surin—known as Millionaire’s Row, thanks to its lineup of mega mansions—for a taste of Phuket’s varied seaside offerings. Head to Yacht Haven Marina for unobstructed views of Phang Nga Bay, or Promthep Cape Viewpointfor a serious sunset perch. Don’t skip a trip to Thailand’s Phi Phi Islands for one of the country’s most notable photo-ops. Your concierge can recommend the best half- or full-day boating excursion including snorkeling stops for a peek beneath the surface.
How to Get There
We would like to say a big THANK YOU to Sander Looijen and his whole team at the Renaissance in Phuket. After having spent so many times in our favorite hotel it is getting difficult to point out all the charming and lovely employees that have made us felt like coming home again.Peter and I have spent the most wonderful and relaxing vacation filled with fantastic and heartwarming moments, delicious dinners, soothing massages and fabulous breakfasts. I still dream every morning of my fresh carrot juice with ginger always prepared with a big smile. the big smiles were omni present wherever we went. what a wonderful feeling!!! if we wanted to name everybody that made us feel welcome we would have to type a big list ...so THANK YOU FROM THE BOTTOM OF OUR HEARTS! You all do a fantastic job and i may repeat myself but if there was an Oscar for the most charming and best caring team you would get it.
one lady however we would like to mention. This is Dang who took care of our room. Every day it was simply a pleasure to come back and see how nice and tidy she arranged everything with love and attention. We dearly miss her like we miss you ALL!
We can't wait to be back soon again in the Renaissance! Ursula and Peter
We travelled to Thailand for our honeymoon and loved our stay at the Renaissance. The spa is amazing, and we will never forget the breakfast. Special thanks to Bee our babysitter who looked after our one year old daughter meaning we could have some time to ourselves!
We had a very nice stay at the Hotel. 7 days ind March 2019. The service was very good and we feelt very welcome. Especially Bam and the navigator Sam took very good care of us and made our stay even better. Breakfast was also very delicious. Sandbox was okay but could easily be better - Sandbox was a littel to expensive.
Special thanks to all the staff at Renaissance for making this place a wonderful memory for my family. It was the first time traveling with my 2 kids and every staff member made us felt welcome and helped us made it more manageable.
We were given a warm welcome at the start and the Deluxe R room was spacious and well appointed for a family of 4. The beach was clean and water clear enough for a good swim and play time in the sand. The Thai Khieng restaurant was our go to place every night for delicious Thai food and the perfect view of the sunset.
Highlight of the trip for our kids was the kid's club and pool, which was well managed with lots of activities that kids can enjoy and spend the entire day.
Special mention to Fang (reception), Sam (Navigator), Lai (kid's pool), Neena (kid's club), Frien and Gaby (Takieng) for taking such good care of my family. Neena did an excellent job in taking care of my son and went above and beyond by helping us order lunch when there was no one at the pool.
Thank you again Renaissance for making this trip truly special and showing us a little piece of paradise.
Very well organized hotel, 1st class dedicated and serviceminded staff providing excellent service in all areas, great and well-tasting breakfast with a huge selection of almost anything needed in a charming atmosphere. Delicat swimming pool and bathing area, close to a gorgeous beach with miles of sandy ground. Free bike rental and super nice area for biking around the hotel and into the bush. I would love to go back to Renaissance!
