The Lowdown

Phuket has long since been synonymous with its paradisal beachscape – think emerald waters, soft sands and stunning scenery, all of which would fit right in on a postcard. And this heavenly lifestyle is easy to settle into when you’re staying at Novotel Phuket Kata Avista Resort and Spa. Situated just a five-minute walk from the lush, white-sand shores of Kata Beach, it promises unbeatable views, top-notch amenities and luxe accommodations.
This TripAdvisor Certificate of Excellence-winning gem is home to contemporary décor, fresh Thai cuisine and a large outdoor pool, where you can cool off from the hefty dose of tropical sunshine. A full-service spa completes the heavenly experience, with a menu of traditional therapies administered in a tranquil setting. To top off this pleasing picture, envision this all surrounded by verdant greenery and peppered with calming fountains and rustling palms – paradise, indeed.

The influence of Thai culture is clear in the simple, elegant design of the guest rooms. The Superior King rooms are sleek, spacious and thoroughly modern, with warm colors and gleaming polished wood. A plush king-sized bed and an elegant en-suite complete the space.

The contemporary restaurant provides a mixture of exotic Thai dishes and delicious international favorites. Only the freshest ingredients are used to create each fragrant meal. You’ll also be able to enjoy an outdoor terrace for al-fresco dining and a wine bar.

You’ll feel utterly rejuvenated after a couple of hours at this full-service spa. Treatments use ancient Thai techniques to soothe your muscles and senses into a state of well-being. You can indulge in a massage, a heat-therapy session and various herbal remedies, all administered using natural products free from synthetic perfumes and colors.

The resort is located in the area of Kata on the dreamy island of Phuket. One of the most coveted destinations in Thailand, it offers sprawling tropical landscapes and serene white-sand beaches. If you’re the active type, then you can go hiking or cycling in the surrounding hills and forests. Kata Beach provides not only the ideal place to sunbathe, but a perfect base for watersports, like windsailing, parasailing and wakeboarding. There are also golf courses nearby and plenty of great shopping areas. If you’re looking for a little evening entertainment, then you can book a cabaret show or catch some Thai boxing.

Great hotel (just improve the breakfast)

Stayed here with my wife for 5 nights. Check in was fast as was check out. A special shout-out to Kien at the customer service desk for being a great help offering us some fantastic suggestions for excursions and good food. The room was fantastic, we had a Seaview room on the forth floor. Now to the worst point of the hotel. The breakfast offering really needs to be reviewed by the F+B manager. The egg station claiming to have freshly prepared eggs repoached poach eggs from a cold bowl of water. The ommlette was disappointing as was the bacon which was heated up in a microwave. The coffee was always pot coffee and the latte / cappuccino barely contained any coffee. All in all it was a great stay but the breakfast offering can be dramatically improved.

HAVE a really good time here. The staff here like Nam Nat Kiel is very friendly.

Nice location up a cliff, walking from most restaurants and the high street. friendly staff, clean rooms and most awesome roof top bar. Both Karon and Kata beech are close by as it sits in between the both. So you have choice to visit any or different beaches by walking.
Will come back again
