How to Get There
We stayed at this very beautiful hotel last year and we spent 10 nights this year
The hotel is nested between 2 small mountains with a pristine white beach of about 1000 meters that is very clean with blue water
The hotel has a few restaurants with great food, their morning buffet is out of this world, large pools that seem to be empty because of their size. This is a great hotel for couples looking for romance and this is why we went back this year
We really feel home away from house because the entire team have one common goal
Make your stay a memorable stay
I strongly recommend this hotel for any family or couple that want to have a great stay while visiting Phuket
Pre-Arrival/ Check-In :
Received welcoming E-Mail a week before my arrival date to ask if any transfer or pre-arrangement needed during my stay. Few days before arrival, received another E-Mail from them, stating that they were not able to upgrade me to a Suite during my stay (as part of Titanium Elite benefits), but will try to give me the best available room at check-in. Check-In was smooth and the room was ready upon my arrival and I was taken to the room by Mr. Ali and received detailled information about the features of my room.
Received a room on 6th floor (Room 643) overlooking the ocean. The view of the room is incredible, but nothing really special about the features of the room. Received 2 pieces of dragon fruits in the room as welcome gift, in addition to the welcome letter. Plenty of drinking water available in the room (4 bottles) to hydrate yourself, but you can ask for more if needed. Toiletries are the typical for Le Meridien which was from Malin + Goetz.
There is no Executive Lounge in the hotel, but I can choose to have breakfast as part of the Titanium Elite benefits (instead points). Titanium Elite members received 20% deduction when dining in the properties. But other than that, no additional benefits offered to Titanium members.
You can choose either to have breakfast in Pakarang Restaurant or in Latest Recipe Restaurant. As I stayed 4 nights in the resort, I did try both places for breakfast. The food options are similar in both restaurants, although I have the feelings that there are more offerings in Pakarang Restaurant. They have plenty of choices of food, to cater for the eastern and western guests. However from my opinion the staff in Latest Recipe is more welcoming than in Pakarang Restaurant, with their friendly gestures and also recognition of the Marriott Bonvoy Elite status.
I did try Latest Recipe restaurant for lunch (twice) for asian and international cuisine and the food was delicious, although the food price is still considered high for Phuket.
During my stay, I did use the gym for work-out. Plenty of cardio machine and up-to-date machines for resistance training. They also have an area for floor exercises. The pool is huge and is for everybody (swimmer, non-swimmer, children)
I did try the Le Spa where I received the package treatment (body scrub, body oil massage, facial treatment), which took 2 hours. Very professional associates and loves the lemongrass oil used for the massage. The packages was on offer (2900 THB), most likely due to low season in September.
The property is located in a very secluded area. A nice place to be if you want to get away from the chaotic Patong, and the main plus points of the property is the beautiful, private secluded beach. If you come to Phuket only to enjoy the beach, this is the place to be, as the beach is only for hotel guests. Trip to Patong is about 10-15 min ride and will cost you about 200-300 THB.
I did ask for late check-out for 15 p.m, and the request was accepted. Check-out was smooth as the hotel room was pre-paid, and I only have to pay the extras.
I would recommend this hotel to guest who would like to enjoy some luxury at a secluded beach, and to those who would like to spend most of their time on the beach or pool.
However I only give them a 4 Star rating, due to lack of recognition of the Titanium Elite member status. Having stayed at 2 other Marriott properties in Southeast Asia during this trip, I feel that this property has the least recognition of the Titanium Elite status.
This beach is the best beach in Thailand with pure white sand , clear tepid turquoise waters it never fails to disappoint us . And even better the resort has recently implemented a smoke free policy so no chance of stinking cigarette smoke ruining the beauty of this picture perfect resort and beach ! ( There are a couple of designated smoking areas but these are away from the pool and beach loungers and restaurants. ) On the clean green note , the resort is also making real effort with reducing plastic waste ( straws , plastic bottles etc ).
We ate at all the restaurants and as usual the calibre of food and service was outstanding . Thank you Jom , Sirinthip , Rung, Arunee, Nit and Vilena for always going the extra mile for us .
The activities available here are also incredible, with mini golf, driving range , tennis courts both grass and hard surface ( of international high standard ) , squash courts , water sports etc there’s no real need to leave the resort unless you fancied a spot of retail therapy in Patong which is only 5 minutes away by car .
But most importantly to us , is the outstanding service and kindness of the staff from housekeeping through to the General Manager , always approachable , helpful and smiling . Feels like a second home to us . See you all next year .
