How to Get There
Upon arrival rate of hotel charged a different rate than what confirmed, and staff were not very accommodating. Staff barely speaks English are unwelcoming and the one that speaks some English has attitude. The stay in Thailand was extremely disappointing people in this hotel are not suited to treat people with 5 ⭐️. I had to call for housekeeping service, staff here does not care or intend to help in your needs. Will never return to Thailand or Dream Phuket. Needed spa treatments staff could barely understand what I was asking for my sensitive skin, extremely poor service walked away without getting treatment. Negative attitudes breakfast is rush and basic and hotel staff is extremely unprepared to run a 5 star hotel. Only thing appropriate is the room, everything looks up to par but IT IS NOT unprepared facility horrible service DO NOT RECOMMEND.
Below picture is a supposed lychee martini , no fruit nothing presentable WORST THAN BASIC
The service provided is impeccable! We feel so special the moment we arrive, check in, being served cold towels and welcome drinks, a quick tour of the surrounding main pool, the restaurant and our room with detail explanation of the amenities, etc. We have fantastic direct pool access, spacious and clean room. The main pool is beautiful with lovely sun beds. There’s another rooftop pool in the main building. Breakfast is delicious! We have our own car, getting to this resort is not a problem. Our car is well taken care of, thanks to the front desk! And thanks for fixing the leaking basin pipe, not a big issue anyway. For our final night, we even have a lovely note from the duty manager to ensure we have a pleasant stay and smooth check out the next day. Excellent service! We will be back for more lovely time!
We stayed here for 4 nights & we generally satisfied the service & facilities. Staff are friendly and sincere.
The main highlight of the hotel must be the cooking class. Chef Kong is nice & friendly. He patiently explained the ingredients and steps of cooking the Thai dishes to our family of 4. My kids enjoyed the cooking class with lots of laughter. Tips: advance booking is required!
The hotel environment is cool and relax. We stayed at 2 bedroom suite with our own mini pool. We also played & eat at the hotel main pool (chill & fun). We visited the rooftop pool for photo taking (beauty scene) only as kids of under 16 cannot swim there.
My husband & I stayed at the hotel bar for watching World Cup in the evening (not available at hotel room TV) with good atmosphere.
There’s electricity break down at my last night of stay in midnight while I’m bathing due to lightning. I have to sleep with my wet hair. I know that was beyond your control & resumed in around 2 hours.
Areas of improvement:
- Please put some spoons next to the cornflakes area as I need to ask for spoon every morning during breakfast.
- Better have World Cup TV channel inside hotel room.
My fiance and I stayed here in September (Thailand's rainy season - whoops!) and while it rained for probably half of our eight night stay, we had no shortage of things to do. Our hotel room was very clean and tidy, with a gorgeous bathroom! I particularly loved the very large, two-person bath. The rainy days were spent at the resort spa, gentleman's bar, the restaurant and also just lounging around in our room.
The rooftop pool was closed during our stay (I believe it is closed during the rainy season) however the ground pool was fantastic; we really enjoyed the swim-up bar! The gentleman's bar was also very fancy, with a very sophisticated atmosphere and a wide range of high-end cocktails.
This resort is located in a quieter part of Phuket so it is ideal for those looking to relax. However, there is a free shuttle bus that runs every day to the island's main attractions. The Dream Resort also has their very own beach club which, while this was closed during our stay (again due to it being rainy season) looked amazing and on a prime beach spot.
I highly recommend visiting the resort's spa while there - they offer nails, beauty treatments and of course, many different styles of massage.
We also managed to hire scooters through the resort, which I highly recommend using (rather than organising them independently) - we paid roughly $20 per day for scooter hire, which we thought was very reasonable. This also took the headache out of us organising them ourselves.
Without a doubt, the absolute highlight of this resort is the amazing service. All staff were very friendly, professional and always went above and beyond to help us out. I highly recommend this resort to those looking for a relaxing holiday, or those looking to enjoy the island's many attractions while still being away from the "hustle and bustle" of larger towns.
This note is one of those places that you want to give 5 stars to do very badly but there are things that just can’t be overlooked. I stayed here on 2 separate occasions during my 1 trip. Overall facility is beautiful. Amazing rooftop pool, amazing main pool in general situated in the middle of everything. Rooms were gorgeous, AC strong, tub big enough for 2, shampoos and soaps smell great and aren’t too drying, overall very clean. The restaurant there where we had breakfast was pretty good 4/5. Better food during lunch/room service menu than the comp breakfast for sure. Not too much selection and bland tasting. Pool side bar was a cool touch. And of course the staff there were splendid. The Thai are super friendly, courteous, generous and super professional all around. ESPECIALLY the security guards out front and one older gentleman in particular! Now... on to the bad stuff. Our rooms had dirty walls that looked like it was made via water probably and that came with a bit of a moldy smell. Then there was the LOUD sound of water fluctuating throughout the pipes right above us literally ALL night. Since we stayed here 1 night both days (2 diff occasions) and 2 diff rooms both had the noise, it didn’t really matter if we called it in. Then there’s the mini bar.... the menu is a bit misleading. It said 2 waters for 150 baht but the 2 was listing quantity in the mini not the quantity per cost. So 2 150 and I assumed 2 bottles for 150 Lol but it came out to be $353 so $10USD for a small bottle of water. Super rip off. Yes I am partially to blame but I’m upset bc it’s misleading. Finally i hate the fact that they have a service charge. Bc I’m almost positive the $ goes to the hotel and not the staff. With that uncertainty I still tipped the staff members and thus I feel like I’m being charged more for nothing lol. 7% at that. They also have their own private beach and it isn’t that nice there was POOOP and garbage ALL over. Drinks are ok priced but 30%!!!!!! SERVICE CHARGE AGAIN. So that plus tip.. not pleasant especially if I’m going multiple times. Yes you should tip also bc the staff deserves the tip they are outstanding but I know some places as I was in the hotel industry don’t give the staff a lot if any. I have video of the noise but I can’t upload it. Meh. Overall a good hotel for the price!
