How to Get There
Stayed at this hotel for a winter week away from the cold weather in the UK.
The hotel is in a great position, lovely part of the beach. Not far from the main centre of Karon. Took particular advantage of Ripples Adult pool and bar.
Staff were accommodating - breakfast was a great selection. Didn’t eat other times so cannot comment on the quality of food. The breakfast selection was great.
Ideal hotel which caters for families and adults only
Brilliant location.....ideal for families with young children....we had 3 kids aged 13 to 6......they loved the resort.....very safe....staff are amazing.....services excellentA slight mix up upon arrival with room allocation but addressed promptly and was brought about more through the lack of communication from travel agency as opposed to hotel.Would revist without a doubt
While the overall experience was mostly fine, with fantastic service from the staff, we felt like there was much better for the same price, especially in Thailand. The beach is huge, and quite calm for Phuket, but looks more like an all inclusive resort in Cuba than a turquoise piece of paradise as one may dream of in Thailand. The food was surprisingly good, even tho everything does seem to cater to Westerners more than to provide an authentic Thai experience. However, breakfast had tons of delicious options, including more traditional Thai and Chinese meals. We were not going to try the buffets, deeming them insultingly price (again, by Thailand standards) but when we got stuck under heavy rain one night, we gave it a try and were actually amazed - especially with the Asian night and Thai street food nights. One particular grip we had was with the cost of water - 80B a bottle is just silly. I realize hotels cost more, and do not mind paying alcoholic beverages at "Western" or inflated cost, same as any restaurant or bar, but water is water - charging litterally 8 times the actual market cost is just theft. Considering you can't really drink sink water, and the fridge really isn't cold enough to keep anything drinkable more than a minute, it almost feels premeditated..and this is the main grip we had with the place. It seems that at this price you'd expect a minimum of amenities, such as cold water whenever you need it, and we had a general feeling that the place wants your money at every turn. Not the staff mind you, they were fantastic, every single one of them, but management, and the way things are presented. Overall, I will admit that most of the concerns can be attributed to personal taste and higher expectations. We did not particularly like the area (it feels very touristy and no different than any other beach in the world), and we ended up leaving after 5 days to a different spot of the island, where we found much, much better at the exact same price. Ultimately, if you have kids, if you want some easy vacation in a cool, laid back place with again, fantastic service, great buffet options, if you don't mind a slightly old building and do not care much for authentic Thai food, and prices, then this place has many great things going for it. If you prefer something quiet and idyllic, look in nai harn or rawai area instead!
A lovely hotel that is set right on a gorgeous sandy beach with clear warm waters. We had a Premium Deluxe Room with a spacious terrace and fabulous sea views. A lovely Italian restaurant is on site which we ate at a few times. Karon and Kata are close by and Patong is about 15 minutes away in a cab.
The staff are absolutely incredible and couldn’t do enough for us. Two in particular who I would like to mention are Mui who is a wonderful young man who served us drinks at our sun beds and Boy who works on the front desk. Both are an asset to the hotel!
Love the bed, facilities, private beach. logistic is very expensive if to go Patong. Hotel only provide either morning or noon shuttle to patong or karon with minimal charge The room deco is in authentic Thai vibes. Very nice resort with clean private beach. Recommended if you want to just laid back and enjoy the hotel facilities. We get the room with attached swimming pool facing the beach but the set back is our room is towards at the back so cant really see the beach. We had a late flight out of phuket but after check out we still can enjoy hotel facilities to kill the time which is a plus point. Down side it is hard to find halal restaurant except kebab stall at karon roundabout.
