At the northern end of Patong Beach, the B-Lay Tong is a fun five-star beachfront retreat. The exterior is made up of minimalist modern blocks interspersed with bright multicolored glass walls and circular windows, and the awesome see-through infinity pool features partially submerged loungers and a swim-up cocktail and smoothie bar. The bright and breezy guestrooms are decorated in the four different element colors (red, blue, green and yellow), in keeping with feng shui principles. Bold local artworks adorn the walls (there’s also an in-house art gallery), and all rooms come with rainfall showers and a private balcony. Romantics should splurge on a Grand Deluxe Room, which has an outdoor hot tub and a love seat. Evenings are best spent in the 198 Lobby Bar watching the sun set over the Andaman Sea, or at the B-Hive Gallery BaRestaurant; try the signature honey cocktail and dine on Asian and international fare.
In the Area
The hotel is at the quieter northern end of Patong Beach but within easy reach of the area’s legendary party scene. It’s a 20-minute walk from Bangla Road, which has enough bars, clubs and revelers to keep you busy until the small hours. To the north of Patong Bay is Kamala beach and Phuket FantaSea, an evening theme and cultural park with nightly shows. There are also plenty of outdoor activities on offer across the island, from beach massages and elephant rides to canoeing and golf. If you’re looking to sample some local cuisine, take a cab to Baan Noy, near the south coast, for some of the best seafood on Phuket.
How to Get There
upon arrival we found the infinity pool was under major renovation with no water in it. This originally was the main draw card, so we cancelled our weeks stay and had to rebook some where else in Phuket. We were advised this was under renovation for a month so stay clear of this place until at least June 2019. Non of this is mentioned on their website btw.
This is a 2 or 3 star hotel! The rooms smell moldy so I assume that is why this strong candle was burning upon checking in. Bathroom smelled of urine, couldn't get tv cable to work and could only see clearly Asian channels. But we are Americans so fhat wasnt good. But the mgr offered a very late check out in which we were grateful
Very DINGY towels and hotel needs more lighting at night.
Breakfast was decent and it was right across from beach. Large rooms too but not worth the price we paid for staying there.
Really nice and friendly staff. We where treated very good. Room was very comfy. Breakfast was good but maybe something more for europian taste, sandwich things for excamble. But thats just my opiniom. Near to the beach also. Nothing to complain. We come again! And a big recommend from us!
Really nice location, and good rooms, had a great breakfast. the hotel swimming pool was awesome. Just next to Patong Beach board big one. The rooms are spacious and had good view. over all our stay was good.
Very friendly staff, big rooms, pool overlooking the sea, pool bar, tasty breakfast with capuchino, cook making an omlet ,there is wi-fi. Sea across the road. There is no umbrellas on the beach, but you can lie near the pool ang go swinning to the sea
As a minus, only one master in the massage salon
