Making my wife's birthday unforgettable
Reviewed 1 day ago

The team of Roby did a great job with the flowers, cake, wine and other decorations to still make it up so my wife could still have the special feeling on her birthday. Because of miscommunications the 100 roses and champagne were not delivered at the time we expected it, so my wife was so disappointed that we canceled the whole order.
But after we came back to the hotel around midnight after our birthday diner we were stunned with what our room was transformed into. Flowers , a birthday cake, wine, a birthday card signed by the whole team. We can't find words for what the staff has done and don't know what to do to express my sincere thank for this.
Making my wife and me happy with the staff going out of their way to accomplish this is deeply appreciated.
That all was complementary.
We want to thank Roby, Honey, Chii, Da and Mon for what they have done.
If you want to meet a friendly staff that goes out of their way to get you what you request, this is the right place to stay.

It is all recommendable.

Comfortable hotel with great service and staff.

The Westin Grande is located on Sukhumvit Road, near to Asoke. This is a major central location with the Skytrain and underground both crossing here. Also, the Terminal 21 Mall is located right across the side street. All of this makes for a convenient but very busy area. There is a Top's Supermarket under the hotel. The huge lobby is located on the 7th floor. From there you can take the elevators to rooms, functions and other area of the hotel. As a platinum member, we had a spacious club room. The room was clean, modern, fresh and new looking. Same for the bathroom with great shower. In addition to a king bed, there was a desk and comfortable easy chair. It had all the amenities you could ask for. The club lounge staff as were all staff we came in contact with were outstanding. Very cordial and helpful. The restaurant (on 7th fl.) was a tight fit, they need more space as it was difficult walking between tables. Very comfortable lounge area. Pool, fitness and spa area all well maintained. Should be ok for wheelchair accessibility. A good choice when in Bangkok.

The Westin is always a great place to stay! The service at The Grand Westin Bangkok was exceptional! You can’t go wrong staying here! I am looking forward to my next visit. The restaurants are all very good. There’s lots of shopping near the hotel!

A great place in Bangkok

Stayed over the weekend with a group of friends, and all of us enjoyed it. The hotel is located within walking distance to mall and bts. Terminal 21 is just across the street and is connected to bts.

Upon arrival, the team is always there to welcome you, from Concierge to Front Desk to Housekeeping. The team is incredibly friendly.

Room is huge - there's twin double bed, and there's ample space for sofa and luggage. Bathroom comes with bathtub as well.

Would love to come back again for future Bangkok trips.

Very good hotel with some minuses
Reviewed 3 days ago

This is a very nice hotel, with large rooms, excellent service from the staff, and a great location. If you take a look at 5 star reviews, you can see that this is a solid choice for Bangkok.

Here I will note some minuses. The lounge can get very busy. 2 out of the 3 times I tried the lounge there was not a single seat available. However one can get drinks and tapas at the bar downstairs, where there is usually more space. The lobby is on the 7th floor and so you always need to take 2 elevators when arriving or leaving the hotel. The first elevator to the 7th floor and then another elevator to your room floor. For some people might find this a minus. I had an HVAC issue that took 2 days to fix. I called 3 times and the building engineer did not fix it until I talked to someone in the executive lounge.

For comparison, I would say the experience is similar to the full service Marriott Hotel Sukhumvit (but the rooms are much larger in the Westin). I would say the Renaissance might be a notch above (better executive lounge). Service, hard product, and luxury feel is better at the JW Marriott.
