I will return and hope they continue to keep these staff members as they are a real bonus to the this hotel
The internet could be a little better but was still fine
I spent close to a month in this hotel during January and February 2019. Its amenities are quite standard but what sets it apart is the fabulous service provided by the staff throughout my stay. The hotel location is fine with easy access to the BTS and express boat service. There are many restaurants around and the more «colorful» parts of Silom, including Patpong, are easily reachable on foot, mototaxi or tuk-tuk. Furthermore, all the taxi drivers I've met know this hotel. It is therefore easy to come back to it from Khaosan road, Dusit or other distant areas without spending a fortune. The breakfast offers some variety and is very inexpensive. The useful gym could be improved by adding a elliptical machine and a few heavier weights. The pool is small but nevertheless pleasant. The rooms are immaculate and quiet despite the highway's proximity. The bar prices are competitive but it is mostly frequented by the hotel customers. What impressed me most, and what made me extend my stay, was the quality of the service. From frequently making sure that I was satisfied to answering all my requests quickly, I felt welcome at all times. I am particularly grateful to Ploy Nirachanok and Ale Velasco Hernandez who went the extra mile.
Stayed in this hotel for a couple of days.
On a holiday, in mid February.
First sight : Entrance and Lobby are not at all impressive for a Novotel. (Little afried, wether I made a wrong choice...)
However, once passed the door, surprisingly, the lady from the front desk, Ms. Tidee came out of the counter, to us and greeted me by name !!!!!! We are meeting each other FIRST TIME !!!!!!!!! ( I dont know how did she recognize me.. )
Must say, she took care of us from the moment till we checked out.
Location : Ok
Lift : Fast enough
Corridor : Absolutely dark (not acceptable)
Room : Small, cozy, well litted.
Decor : Cool, minimum furnished, enough lights.
Cabinet is little cramped.
Mini fridge is decently stocked.
Cleaness : Crispy bed linen and pillow covers.
Felt, pullow is old enough to replace (slightly stinking ).
Floor carpets is getting old to replace.
Toilet : Clean.
Sufficient ameneties are provided.
But water pressure in shower is very less. (Made me little annoyed )
Wash basin tap lenth is tooooooo short to reach inside the bowl. When I use it, the whole water spill out to the counter and then to the floor. (Maintainance team should attend the issue on priority, please ).
Towels are clean but due for replace.
Breakfast : Descent. Not too crowded. Well ventilated. (Not getting omlet preparing smell and smoke from the live kitchen...).
BIG THING : Free mobile phone provided in the room which can carry with us while roaming around the city during the stay !!!!!!
Further call charges, even international calls to many countries including India are free !! (ABSOLUTELY !!!!!!!!!!!!!).
Conclusion : I stayed 2 days comfortably and happily on a hang over got from Ms. Tidee at the time of entry and later the whole course of stay.
Well Done Tidee, Keep it Up !
I was a bit disappointed with the stay at Novotel Fenix Silom. We booked Novotel with the impression of a typical novotel hotel facilities but this was a very basic compared to other Novotels. Breakfast at the hotel was disappointing as we thought the food was quite not as expected, and some food just looked and tasted stale, especially the bread. I would not recommend to pay for breakfast here bit rather just go out on the street for breakfast.
The hotel was very nice, clean, and hip... also very well priced for the neighborhood it is located in.
The staff was very helpful and engaging, this included the bartenders which were all smiles. The only issue I encountered wAs that the Bathroom sink was slow draining, and as soon as I reported it they said they would send someone up to take a look.
