Good hotel Location a bit far but still good
Reviewed 2 days ago

Everything was good, the hotel is nice, the staff are nice, breakfast was good the only problem or disadvantage is that it’s a 10 minute walk to the station and cab drivers for some reason are a bit dumb around there. However the hotel has a free tuk-tuk service every 10-15 minutes that takes you down to Asok Station. Or a minibus every hour.
Decoration in the room is a bit scarce there is no alarm clock to connect your phone, which I think it should have as it is not a 3 star hotel.

Taxi scam

The hotel would be OK but unfortunately the taxis drivers refuse to use the taxi meter.
I asked the reception why they don't report this crooks to the police, all what I got was a polite answer that ment they think I am only a foreign idiot.

Not worth the money

Don’t know if it’s the peak season , the room rate was quite expensive yet it’s not really worth the money.

The breakfast was just average , not much choice and nothing impressive...

Stuffs can’t speak English well, say the waitress had to ask me thrice about what I would like to drink ; and I said tea , but end up she gave me a coffee, and she asked me what’s my room number , I told her and I was quite sure I was clear enough, yet she asked me the same question again right after she arranged us the seats ...

The room is small and the interior and facilities are just simple and basic.

Was arranged a connecting room , yet the sound proof is very bad. I knew what the people who stayed in the next room were doing by just listening to the noise !

About location, not very convenient as not much shops and restaurants around; though the hotel has shuttle service to terminal 21.

A bit disappointed indeed.

The location for Bangkok is good staff are well trained and the restaurant food is good Kuhn Kao was very polite and served us enthusiastically last night .The executive lounge is run well the check in was faultless but I do find the rooms a little small but that is my own opinion (2701) maybe I should have booked a junior suite ,my return date is the 22/12/2018 .This is the first movenpick hotel I have stayed in and would throughly recommend this chain to any frequent traveler Well done the management and staff of movenpick hotel Sukhumvit .
