A sleek retreat in Bangkok's Silom district, just steps from some of the city's best shopping and nightlife

The Lowdown

In a city as vibrant as Bangkok, you’ll need a luxurious retreat to return to after your days (and nights) exploring the buzzing streets and lively markets. Housed in an impressive high-rise, the four-star Furama Silom offers an elegant, Thai-inspired space that’s designed to relax and rejuvenate, recharging you for another day of sightseeing in the city. The guest rooms here are spacious and comfortable, with elegant décor and plush bedding to ensure a perfect night’s rest. On the hotel’s 20th floor, high above the rush of the streets below, a pool and a lounge area await. Here, you can enjoy a nightcap over views over Bangkok’s twinkling skyline, while the reflections from the towering skyscrapers dance on the water’s surface. Excitement is never too far away, though, as an abundance of city life lies around the hotel; the famous Patpong Night Market is a short walk from your door, CentralWorld shopping plaza is just a few stops away and there are plenty of bars and clubs lining the streets of Silom.

The stylish Deluxe rooms feature plush king-sized beds and a warm color palette, creating an inviting retreat for you to kick back in. You’ll enjoy a gleaming glass-encased bathroom, with both a bathtub and a shower, as well as impressive views of the city from the large picture windows.

Located on the second floor of the hotel, Rama@Silom offers a diverse range of cuisine, from traditional Thai to international favorites. The lavish buffet breakfast is a must, and it’ll provide you with the energy you need for a busy day around the city. On the rooftop, next to the pool and the lounge area, grab some bar bites and creative cocktails from De Sky @ Furama Silom. You’ll enjoy panoramic views of Bangkok, and it’s the perfect spot for enjoying an expertly mixed cocktail from the bar.

There’s no time to be bored in Bangkok’s Silom – with traditional attractions, shopping, nightlife and no shortage of spas and wellness centers, there’s always something to do here. The Chong Nonsi BTS Skytrain Station is just a short walk from the hotel, and you can be whisked off to the city’s popular shopping havens, such as CentralWorld, MBK Shopping Centre and Siam Paragon, in mere minutes. You can also mingle with locals and sharpen your bargaining skills at the nearby Patpong Night Market, where you’ll find a plethora of souvenirs, bags, shoes and tasty street food. There’s even a Thai cooking school across the street, so you can take some of those recipes home with you.

We did a multi site stay with Tui, 3 nights in Bangkok and 11 nights in Phuket, we didn't really have any input in this hotel and was a bit disappointed, it didn't feel more than a 3 star to be honest, staff seemed ok, wasn't much choice for breakfast, WiFi was really poor.

Stingy on Wifi

Make no mistake. This is a great hotel for the money. Do the right thing and book the Executive Club rooms, located on the highest floors. Big space, with complimentary drinks every evening, during happy hours.
Silom is a fascinating neighborhood, turn left , as you exit from the hotel, and a short 10 minute walk lands you in the Bangrak area, and onto the Saphan Taksin ferry terminal, which takes you to Chinatown(15bahts only, by ordinary ferry).Walk left via a narrow shopping alley, and another 10 minutes will get you to Phahurat (or, Little India). A morning well spent, sampling the little eats and bytes along the way.
Now back to the hotel-excellent staff, all experienced hands, except for a jock concierge guy, young stud , who acted as if he was doing you a favour.
My only grouse with this fine hotel was the wifi passwords, which kept changing everyday , inspite of me booking 5 nights enbloc. How irritating to visit the reception everyday, to request a renewal. Felt like a criminal asking for a favour.
Otherwise, a solid choice in Silom.

The staff always smile, and they are very nice. I lost my luggages the other day, and they assisted me to brought them back.
I also impressed the swimming pool on the rooftop, the view was so nice. I would recommend this hotel to my friends to come to stay.
