Contemporary hotel with a subtropical pool on a residential street near Bangkok’s central business hub

The Look

On a leafy, residential street near Bangkok’s Embassy Row, the Chatrium Residence features large apartment-style rooms and a bounty of resort-style amenities. In a cluster of seven 18-story towers, a central oasis of verdant gardens and tall subtropical trees frames an expansive freeform pool. Well equipped for families and designed for extended stays, the 560 family-friendly units feature fully equipped kitchens, ample storage spaces and inviting living areas that place trendy decor in a palette of gray, white and light brown.

Bed and Bath

During the day, oversize windows and private balconies let lots of light into the carpeted bedrooms, and blackout curtains create a private, cozy atmosphere at night. Blond hardwood cabinetry and marble slab counters carry throughout the rooms and into fully equipped kitchenettes. Beds with matte black padded headboards, pillowtop mattresses and 100-percent cotton linens face walls mounted with LCD TVs offering more than 50 channels. Bathrooms are simple affairs, with the hotel’s house brand bath products; some have separate tubs and showers.

The two on-site restaurants overlook the fourth-floor freeform pool, so you can take in the subtropical views while savoring Thai, Western and Japanese cuisine at Oasis, or market-fresh sashimi at the sushi bar. Elsewhere, resort-style amenities abound, including free ballroom dancing, Muay Thai and yoga classes at the fitness center, an adjacent playground and indoor playroom reserved for the little ones, and locker rooms with a sauna, a steam room and a Jacuzzi. Play a round at the billiard table or indoor putting greens at the third-floor recreation area, or simply bask in the Green Leaf Spa.

My second time here and I like this hotel. Even be the member now. Nice big room, relaxing garden and swimming pool. Breakfast is awesome. Various kinds of food. Checkin staff was not really professional guy but at check out with 2 ladies staffs are very nice, helpful. We love their smile. Unfortunately I could not remember their names. I was having problem with booking via your website that took pretty long time for the process but then I finally asked reservation team to help me and they are very helpful both by email and phone to finish the booking for me. Maybe by khun Anyawee and team. Please pass this compliment to all reservation team who helped me. I appreciate their assistance. Looking forward to be there again in the future.

I was very happy to receive a complimentary upgrade from studio to one bed room. The staff was very friendly. The room quality was great. Two TVs, great furniture, nice and clean kitchen and bathroom with bathtub. Best was the wonderful big and soft king size bed. One of the best beds I ever had in Bangkok. Internet was fast and once you connected you never had to reconnect.
The pool is big but don´t be fooled, it is NOT deep! Only 1,30 meters and many areas super shallow. Not for swimming. Also, it was Chinese New Year and hords of kids were screaming and splashing in the pool at all times. I was hoping to find a peaceful oasis but it was impossible to relax by the pool. Their "happy hour" also said "one for one", which I don´t understand - shoudn´t it be "pay one, get two"?
The location is far away from my usual playground in Asoke/Nana area. The BTS shuttle from the hotel took 30 mintes in heavy traffic so I almost went everywhere in a taxi, usually about 100 Baht a ride. Only few restaurants in walking distance except for the Rama 3 mall. Massage and laundry overpriced in the area compared to Sukhumvit.
