The newly opened Marriott Marquis is all cool lines and elegant furnishings. Just like all great cosmopolitan hotels, it also offers a stunning view of the area around it. Right next to Queen’s park, rooms here offer a soothing view of the pocket of greenery within the buzzing city.
Impressive from the moment you walk through the vast lobby, you’ll find your stay memorable and enjoyable. Touches of traditional Thai design adds a unique flavour to the glitzy space, glimmering alongside towering gold columns and elegant, reflective wall panels. The rooms and facilities are equally lovely – spacious, state-of-the-art spaces designed with your comfort in mind. You’ll love the hotel’s spa, swimming pool and fitness centre, as well as the stellar array of dining options.
But one can’t stay in Bangkok without exploring the streets! Thankfully the hotel’s central location puts your right in the midst of the action. You’ll have the city at your fingertips with the best shopping centres, such as the EM District, and Phrom Phong BTS station a 10-minute walk away.
How to Get There
This is the 2nd time I have stayed here, it is easy to get to from the airport for 500 baht taxi fee. The club lounge is amazing, and the staff are very nice and the rooms are clean and comfortable. It is located in a very nice location, nice to go walk in the park to relax.
First time to try bakery at siam tea room, very tasty and all staff very kind with us. Gam Jeab Kwan Fa,They take care and recommend dessert for us.We like cookie and muffin very soft and savory tasty next time I alway buy it again.
I visited and checked on last Thursday, 13 Dec. The room was comfortable, spacious and clean. The toilet did not have bath tub, only shower. There are some rooms with bath tub but I do not pick.
We had the breakfast at Goji Kitchen + Bar and there were a wide range of food selection. This was very impressive but I felt the light decoration is a bit dark.
I booked the M Club Room, so I could enjoy the lounge service on 27th Floor. It offered breakfast but the selection is limited. It also offered free snack and tea daily. Free alcohol service starts at 5:30-8:30pm daily. it is sooooo good.
Swimming Pool on 9th floor is not big indeed. It may be a bit crowd for guests in hot summer.
There was an issue when we checked out. Our booking was including breakfast. We had our breakfast at Goji Kitchen for our stay. The hotel charged us the breakfast because she said we should have our breakfast at 27th floor instead. We talked to the manager and we were waived the charges finally.
When we checked in on Thursday, the staff did not clarify this point. Moreover, the breakfast at 27th floor was very limited......... Therefore, it is better to re-confirm everything during your check-in.
I would like to thank all the staff of Marriott Marquis Queen’s Park for their hospitality and good services .. honestly I wasnt planning to stay in this hotel at the beginning until one of my friends advised me to do so .. and im really pleased that i did ; this is my 3rd time in bangkok and I really didnt expect to have this perfect experience there .. You really dazzeled me !! Also I would like to thank the gentelman at the reception Mr "Raouf" for his assisstance to me and all the help that he gave to me during my stay .. THANK YOU
Things started off well, but in the end the Hotel ended up just being Average.
I booked via points as a Marriott reward member, and was not allowed in the Lounge. I was told that I'd get free cocktails however, but unfortunately when I tried to redeem my free gift, I was told it was only available the first night. By the end we felt like second class guests by daring to book via spg/marriot rewards.
The staff were very pleasant, and they did offer me a child cot for my baby, but when we received it, it was rather disgusting and we ended up not using it.
The pool was frigid cold, and was one of the main reasons I booked. My baby was unable to swim, and I found it very uncomfortable, I didn't come to Bangkok to swim in waters as cold as a glacier fed lake back home! Looks like the pool is always in the shade, and thus doesn't get heated.
Lastly, the costs and services at the hotel are stratospheric. Laundry was so much, I just spend the money to get custom made shirts down the street instead.
Now the staff were amazing, very helpful, and genuinely happy to see you, but staff can only go so far.
