Overview

A luxurious stay in a park-view room in Bangkok, with fantastic shopping options right at your fingertips

The Lowdown

The newly opened Marriott Marquis is all cool lines and elegant furnishings. Just like all great cosmopolitan hotels, it also offers a stunning view of the area around it. Right next to Queen’s park, rooms here offer a soothing view of the pocket of greenery within the buzzing city.
Impressive from the moment you walk through the vast lobby, you’ll find your stay memorable and enjoyable. Touches of traditional Thai design adds a unique flavour to the glitzy space, glimmering alongside towering gold columns and elegant, reflective wall panels. The rooms and facilities are equally lovely – spacious, state-of-the-art spaces designed with your comfort in mind. You’ll love the hotel’s spa, swimming pool and fitness centre, as well as the stellar array of dining options.
But one can’t stay in Bangkok without exploring the streets! Thankfully the hotel’s central location puts your right in the midst of the action. You’ll have the city at your fingertips with the best shopping centres, such as the EM District, and Phrom Phong BTS station a 10-minute walk away.

Feeling at home at Marriott Marquis Bangkok
Reviewed 4 hours ago

I am a Marriott Platinum Elite member and have been travelling extensively since 2008 - totaling app. 1000 nights in hotels.

After yet another stay in this fantastic hotel I feel like giving a review.

The property oozes of excellence and luxury and all the staff are very attentive.

The rooms are well-appointed, hotel feel is clean and fresh, spa is beautiful, pool and fitness are functional... Even includes a squash court.

All in a great central location in short walking distance to BTS and Emquartier shopping and with many onsite restaurants onsite.

The Goji has one of the largest buffets I have seen, all fresh and with many live stations. Great food and ambience. The Tea house is cozy with smaller dishes and the japanese restaurant offers delicious treats.

Also, and this is the primary reason for this review, as a Platinum I have access to the Executive Lounge on 27th floor. The lounge has ample space, good ambience and very good nibbles, snacks and drinks. The evening service is even better.

But that is not the most important thing. It is to feel welcomed and appreciated. As I said earlier all staff do a great job at that... But for this visit Maprang and Ae stands out as stars for their attitude, behavior and attention.

Will I stay here again? Oh yes, this is my home-away-from-home in Bangkok. And I will be back soon.

My 6th stay at this hotel

Warm welcome at check-in, in the lounge: the Director of Rooms and Front Office Manager with other staff members were there to welcome us and to celebrate a belated birthday.

Spoiled with amenities in the Grand Marquis Suite we were assigned. All this was much appreciated.
We were also invited at the Sky Suite (their Huge Presidential Suite) for a bottle of bubbly and some canapes.

The food (hearty as per Marriott style) at the lounge was good and plentiful. Their hearty version is so much better than at other properties like the Le Meridien in Chiang Mai (a hotel where you can also notice a "saving program", like smaller juice and evening wine glasses, smaller plates, removal of envelopes and pencils in the suites, imported nuts on the breakfast buffet, etc .... - none of this at the MMQP).

You can see the Director of Rooms all over the hotel, very hands-on, clearing tables, checking the needs of guests and QCeing buffet counters, etc... Impressive.

Being so well treated, we have no choice but to be back .... soon.

Buffet at Goji Kitchen & Bar was great. It was a birthday dinner gathering with good food and great service. Our waiters Are/Nelson/Irish were awesome. Will definitely go back and explore the hotel more next time.

Absolutely Fabulous

The hotel is situated near an expensive shopping arcade, and several blocks from the red light district, in the heart of Bangkok. We were on a Luxury Escape getaway and were very impressed with the room, service and the quality of the food. We were given club membership which included an excellent buffet breakfast, light lunch, afternoon tea, dinner and free spirits and cocktails in the evening. Just like Qantas Club, only 10 times better!

Wonderful Experience

We had a fantastic stay at the Marriott Marquis. it is in a great central location and has fantastic facilities and efficient and friendly staff. We also experienced the M Club and the Rooftop bar which was a class apart.
