Amazing resort, warm and accommodating staff

It took me till now figure out the difference between 5 star vs 4 star hotel and here's the difference. Free breakfast the staff would find my family seats as oppose to looking for my own seats in a 4 star resort and the range of food selection is amazing and of the highest quality. We needed to organise our pick up and Buffalo tours gave us wrong information, my wife spoke to the concierge and they contacted them on our behalf whilst we went out sightseeing. Fantastic stay.

Relaxing Holiday

My girlfriend and later at the hotel, my wife (same woman) enjoyed three separate visits to the Anantara. We also had both our birthdays there. The hotel gave us birthday cakes on both occasions at Dinner, and wished us Happy Birthday at Breakfast. Their Breakfasts are great. I dare anyone to say they cannot find what they want or to ask for any type of freshly cooked egg or omelets.

Outstanding - luxury in Bangkok

From arrival at the hotel to departure on the last day - everything was fabulous.

I was able to check in to the hotel on line which meant my room key was ready on arrival. When I went to get the key I was told that I had booked two twin beds which was an accident on my behalf. The lady at check in was so accommodating and changed me to a king size bed. This was appreciated especially as I was checking in early before normal check in time.

Staff were super friendly. Room was so clean and quiet. Bed comfortable. The river view rooms are lovely as they have a balcony with a table and chairs and sitting out of an evening enjoying a drink and watching the river life overlooking the temple is stunning.

The spa was a treat but I was surprised that the room for the manicure and pedicure had no windows. Given the prices and the fact it is a five star hotel it could have had a five star feel for the spa treatment. The ladies were fabulous and did an awesome job though.

I would definitely come back to this hotel next time I am in Bangkok.

Beyond our expectations

Far surpassed what we had hoped for! The service was top notch, staff friendly, and the breakfast buffet can't be beat. Easily, a food option for every culture! The water taxi service was a plus as well!

Lovely hotel

We stayed at the Anantara for 3 nights in two adjoining rooms. Upgraded to suites on arrival which was great. Rooms stylish, large and very quiet. Excellent air conditioning. We slept like logs. Breakfasts were amazing with a huge variety of food on offer. Free boat shuttle up river was a godsend. Well equipped gym. Pool was lovely but quite deep so watch out if your children aren’t great swimmers. Might be safer to stick to the small children’s pool. Plenty of sun loungers and attentive staff. Food and drink pricy but as expected at a hotel like this. Try getting the free hotel boat upriver and then exploring the locals food market. Tasty meal with drinks for 4 for less than a fiver. Staff on desk will give advice on which river taxi’s to get to visit the main attractions like the Royal Palace. Don’t wear tight leggings if you are a girl or a sarong if you are a boy as they won’t let you into the Royal Palace wearing either! Asiatique market on the opposite side of the river worth a visit. Taxi’s from hotel only 60 baht.
