Bangkok is a city of extremes, where sleek skyscrapers proudly stand and ancient temples humbly rest. When you’re not exploring the famous floating markets, you could be designer shopping in one of its chic malls. Spend one evening dining on gourmet cuisine, and the next feasting on delicious street food. With this distinct range of choices to its name, this intoxicating destination has unsurprisingly been cited as the world’s most visited city.
The five-star Aetas Lumpini is in the heart of it all, majestically towering over Bangkok’s commercial district. As its contemporary exterior suggests, the hotel’s modern interiors ooze up-to-date style. You’ll find three eating options on-site, as well as a state-of-the-art fitness room. The outdoor swimming pool is well complemented with not just one, but two, Jacuzzis, plus a poolside bar, to boot.
The hotel’s Junior suites are spacious and tastefully decorated in earthy tones with accents in bright, natural colors, such as greens and oranges. Luxe linens and high ceilings add to the overall comfort, and floor-to-ceiling windows look out over Bangkok. You also have the luxury of a separate living area and a gleaming bathroom with a walk-in shower.
The Hourglass Restaurant is open from 6am to 10:30pm and offers a menu of authentic fusion cuisine, all served up in a stylish setting. The GMT Lounge serves both food and drink and is open from 9am to midnight, providing the perfect spot to soak up some serious city views. Splash Pool Bar provides refreshments at an effortlessly convenient distance from the pool.
Aetas Lumpini is located in Bangkok’s bustling commercial district, moments from Lumpini Park and a few steps from the Lumpini MRT Station. The Gaysorn Shopping Center, with more than 100 luxury and designer shops and Silom Road, with its vibrant night markets, cafés and shops, are a short walk away. The Rama IV express way is nearby, with direct access to the Suvarnabhumi Airport.
How to Get There
The hotel was a great escape in the middle of downtown. Beautiful room and pool. The room service was amazing, well priced and delicious. The only negative I had was the website which I booked the room several months in advance emailed me the day of check in, while I was traveling and told me the hotel couldn't honor my booking (even though I prepaid months in advance). Left me in a panic as I was literally in route and didn't have a place to go. I went to expedia and was able to book the exact same room for a higher rate. I felt it was a dishonest way to get more money for the room, and not good customer service to cancel a prepaid reservation the day of arrival.
This was our first hotel of our honeymoon. We were upgraded on arrival to a beautiful suite with city view. Staff were so friendly and helpful. We recieved a cake also which was delicious and rose petals in the bath. Check in was fast. Location is right near the metro. On a busy road but we didn't hear it. Close to lumphini park. Restaurant was delicious and service very good! Breakfast had plenty of choice. The only reason we didn't stay here on our return was because we wanted to be in a different area otherwise would definitely stay again.
We stayed at this hotel on our first leg of a three leg multi centre holiday around Thailand. The hotel was about half hour from the airport. The service was great from the moment our taxi pulled up outside the hotel to the time we left. Our room was on the 19th floor with views across Bangkok. Our room was very spacious and of a high standard. With floor to ceiling windows you could watch the world go by down below. The hotel is right next to Lumpini metro station so great transport links for getting around. We eat in at the hotel and found the food very good and reasonably priced. The buffet breakfast was lovely with an excellent choice. We used the swimming pool a couple of times and found it a good place to meet people from other parts of the world. All in all a great hotel. Would Definatly stay again.
I wont forget the place, very courteous staff, good food, and most of all we felt like we are VIPs hahaha. (Of course they have to do that we paid a lot hahaha.) Very accessible to almost anything, massage, restaurants, malls. Highly recommended.
Very close to Lumpini MRT station. Fast check in. Detailed introduction of the room. Friendly staff.
Wash basin a bit small. Reasonable rate.
Fast check out and hotel staff quickly found that we left some stuff in the room and informed us once we step out the hotel - very impressive. The staff are efficiency, professional and friendly.
Great location, it's in the heart of Bangkok, very convenient to go anywhere.
Room are spacious and clean.
Breakfast is good, but the Congee and Tea are not hot enough.
