Thailand’s exhilarating capital may seem a far cry from the tranquil beach settings the country’s known for, but amid the captivating clamor of this urban hub, you’ll find captivating sights of another sort – the historical and cultural sort, to be exact. From monumental memorials and the open houses of art collectors to artifact-filled markets and gilded temple spires, Bangkok’s many treasures deserve serious exploration, too.
Aetas Bangkok is located right in the city center, just a short walk from two Skytrain stations, waiting to whisk you toward the Grand Palace, Wat Pho or an energetic night market. At this newly opened hotel, you can expect a bevy of contemporary comforts, from the fully equipped fitness center and tranquil spa to the sixth-floor swimming pool. When it comes to dining, choose from the restaurant’s à la carte and buffet options, a casual bite in the lobby lounge or a health kick at the poolside bar.
Aetas Bangkok’s Deluxe rooms are all about elegant simplicity. Modern furniture, fixtures and fittings combine with floor-to-ceiling windows, affording you excellent views over the city. The en-suite bathroom benefits from a separate bathtub and state-of-the-art shower cubicle, complete with water jets and a rainfall shower.
Moments Restaurant offers both à la carte and buffet options, with a menu that incorporates Western, Middle Eastern and Asian influences. Pause Lobby Lounge is open from 9am to midnight each day and offers a casual ambience, complete with a terrace area and views over the city. Time Out Pool Bar is set by the outdoor pool on the hotel’s sixth floor, with a menu of light meals and healthy drinks.
Aetaspa is located on the hotel’s sixth floor and is open from 9am to 10pm daily. There are five treatment rooms, each equipped with relaxing low lighting and scented oils, and a menu of rejuvenating treatments, which include traditional massages and revitalizing facials.
Aetas Bangkok is located on Sukhumvit Road in central Bangkok, just a 10-minute walk from Ploen Chit and Nana BTS Skytrain Stations. Wat Pho and the Grand Palace are around 30 minutes away by car or Skytrain. You’re also just a short way from CentralWorld, the largest shopping mall in Southeast Asia.
How to Get There
I am so grateful & amazed at the quality of everything I experienced at the AETAS!! The room was large & had everything I could need. The beds SO comfortable & love the soft sheets!!!! (Being an ex intern. flight attendant, they were always so stiff)
The buffet breakfast each day was amazing. Great choice of Asian & Western food.. and the staff could not have done more for me. SO friendly - especially a lovely girl who always greeted me with a great big smile & would help me with suggestions for shopping ventures ( her name badge: INTHIRA T. Server). She was an absolute delight!!!
I came to stay there for 10days through Cosmeditour but am so happy with my experience, I will DEFINATELY be returning!!
Can't recommend this hotel enough.
Many thanks, Jana Bosher
I was in Bangkok for a work trip for about 9 months, and I lived in Aetas Residences during that time.
Most amenities are within walking distance, and the BTS station is close to Siam.
Staff are friendly and helpful. The rooms are fine, but room amenities such as the washing machine can be faulty sometimes.
Overall decent and comfortable enough for a trip!
I did not actually stay at this hotel. The smaller hotel where I was staying has an arrangement with this hotel to use the facilities, like the pool, which is amazing.
I think the pool is on the ninth floor and one edge of it has an infinity look to it. Don’t expect sun exposure much before 12 o’clock, though.
My husband planned our anniversary in this hotel coming from Abu Dhabi and it was my first time in Bangkok. and i must say, I as glad he chose this place. We have a welcome message and delicious fresh fruits and cake waiting for us.
The staff were super friendly and very attentive. Made sure we had everything we needed & room service were very quick
The location was good enough for us, especially as the nearest station, Phloen Chit BTS station, was a few minutes walk, or you could take advantage of the complimentary hotel tuk tuk service which drops you close to the station. Restaurants, bars, massages galore around the area. 7/11 supermarket was just a few steps away from our hotel and was in our direction to and from the hotel.
I really enjoyed our hotel, especially being on the higher floors, the view was simply serene. We slept with the curtains open every night simply as the view was breathtaking to wake up to every morning. The rooms were a bit outdated but it did not bother us so much at all. I also enjoyed that the hotel has a book explaining the city and tourist locations you could visit, it was definitely useful for someone who has never been to Bangkok before.
Breakfast and food weren't the best we've had. But that might be my disadvantage as I'm a picky eater.
Overall, it was a great experience and this hotel will definitely be our go-to hotel whenever we visit Bangkok again.
We had 3 nights here, we paid to have an early check-in, and got upgraded to one of the top floor rooms, but it was made perfectly clear that did not entitle us to top floor lounge access (you have to pay for that). The room was very spacious with fantastic two sided views of the city, the only downsides were, the room was a little dated and it had a musty smell. Everything we needed was provided in the room, iron and board, slippers and dressing gown, toiletries and umbrella and a safe. You are a bit out of the way here, but the skytrain station is just down the road, and very easy to navigate. The breakfast was OK, however the chef seemed to have stopped serving omelettes the first morning of our stay, and we had to leave prior to breakfast on the last morning, so only got one breakfast on our visit, seconds on tea and coffee were also not forthcoming. The staff are helpful and will try and help with directions etc. Apparently there is a tuktuk for the use of guests to the skytrain station, however we did not use this. Overall a nice hotel, just needs to look at the finishing touches, and improve the Breakfast a little.
