Thailand’s exhilarating capital may seem a far cry from the tranquil beach settings the country’s known for, but amid the captivating clamor of this urban hub, you’ll find captivating sights of another sort – the historical and cultural sort, to be exact. From monumental memorials and the open houses of art collectors to artifact-filled markets and gilded temple spires, Bangkok’s many treasures deserve serious exploration, too.
Aetas Bangkok is located right in the city center, just a short walk from two Skytrain stations, waiting to whisk you toward the Grand Palace, Wat Pho or an energetic night market. At this newly opened hotel, you can expect a bevy of contemporary comforts, from the fully equipped fitness center and tranquil spa to the sixth-floor swimming pool. When it comes to dining, choose from the restaurant’s à la carte and buffet options, a casual bite in the lobby lounge or a health kick at the poolside bar.
Aetas Bangkok’s Deluxe rooms are all about elegant simplicity. Modern furniture, fixtures and fittings combine with floor-to-ceiling windows, affording you excellent views over the city. The en-suite bathroom benefits from a separate bathtub and state-of-the-art shower cubicle, complete with water jets and a rainfall shower.
Moments Restaurant offers both à la carte and buffet options, with a menu that incorporates Western, Middle Eastern and Asian influences. Pause Lobby Lounge is open from 9am to midnight each day and offers a casual ambience, complete with a terrace area and views over the city. Time Out Pool Bar is set by the outdoor pool on the hotel’s sixth floor, with a menu of light meals and healthy drinks.
Aetaspa is located on the hotel’s sixth floor and is open from 9am to 10pm daily. There are five treatment rooms, each equipped with relaxing low lighting and scented oils, and a menu of rejuvenating treatments, which include traditional massages and revitalizing facials.
Aetas Bangkok is located on Sukhumvit Road in central Bangkok, just a 10-minute walk from Ploen Chit and Nana BTS Skytrain Stations. Wat Pho and the Grand Palace are around 30 minutes away by car or Skytrain. You’re also just a short way from CentralWorld, the largest shopping mall in Southeast Asia.
How to Get There
on arrival first impressions was wow, very friendly and helpful staff on reception. Rooms where very spacious and clean. The food in the restaurant was amazing, buffet breakfast was good value for money.
Hotel stay was good, room is huge, but need updated, nice staff, breakfast and lunch buffet excellent, everything was so nice, but overall not a 5 star service, no shampoo in my bathroom, tub was broken, they need to put good shower gel and shampoo in the bathroom.
Stayed at Aetas hotel for 3 nights. The environment is relatively quiet since its about 500m from the main road with many embassies in the vicinity which make the place relatively safe. The room is clean. Has a bath tube with glass which enable you to watch a movie while soaking in bubble bath. Overall, its a good experience staying at this hotel. Have free tuk tuk ferrying you to the main road with its careful driver.
Property is at a good location , surrounded by conrad/oriental residence / all seasons place. I had an executive suite and that was totally value for money room , the only good thing about the hotel was that room and location. Their pool/spa/gym needs major renovation , they don't have a steam room in the spa. The lobby is not impressive , food is below average , service is okay. If someone is getting a room at a high price in hotels like anantara/intercon/grand hyatt or hotels in that categories , one can than try to stay in this property. Overall it was an average experience. I totally recommend them serving better food , upgrading/renovating gym/spa/pool , making the lobby impressive. Improving service better and introducing Thai deserts like coconut ice cream/mango sticky rice and coconut water , I mean we are in Thailand how can you not serve these.
I absolutely loved my stay at The Aetas :) It was everything my friend and I needed for our 9 night stay in Bangkok. Our room was so nice and inviting and the beds were dreamily comfortable. The food served in Moments restaurant was simply delicious, too, and if you don't feel like eating in the restaurant itself you can get room service - and you lose nothing in the quality of food. The buffet breakfast every morning was such a highlight and a really nice way to meet other guests staying at the hotel. The pool area was beautiful and if you feel like a massage the Day Spa is beautifully luxurious and well priced. All hotel staff were extremely polite, helpful and a pleasure to deal with. They offer a free tuk tuk ride for guests to the nearest train station which was great, so you can access all the main tourist attractions from there. I really loved every minute of my time at The Aetas and I would stay there again no question!
