Thailand’s exhilarating capital may seem a far cry from the tranquil beach settings the country’s known for, but amid the captivating clamor of this urban hub, you’ll find captivating sights of another sort – the historical and cultural sort, to be exact. From monumental memorials and the open houses of art collectors to artifact-filled markets and gilded temple spires, Bangkok’s many treasures deserve serious exploration, too.
Aetas Bangkok is located right in the city center, just a short walk from two Skytrain stations, waiting to whisk you toward the Grand Palace, Wat Pho or an energetic night market. At this newly opened hotel, you can expect a bevy of contemporary comforts, from the fully equipped fitness center and tranquil spa to the sixth-floor swimming pool. When it comes to dining, choose from the restaurant’s à la carte and buffet options, a casual bite in the lobby lounge or a health kick at the poolside bar.
Aetas Bangkok’s Deluxe rooms are all about elegant simplicity. Modern furniture, fixtures and fittings combine with floor-to-ceiling windows, affording you excellent views over the city. The en-suite bathroom benefits from a separate bathtub and state-of-the-art shower cubicle, complete with water jets and a rainfall shower.
Moments Restaurant offers both à la carte and buffet options, with a menu that incorporates Western, Middle Eastern and Asian influences. Pause Lobby Lounge is open from 9am to midnight each day and offers a casual ambience, complete with a terrace area and views over the city. Time Out Pool Bar is set by the outdoor pool on the hotel’s sixth floor, with a menu of light meals and healthy drinks.
Aetaspa is located on the hotel’s sixth floor and is open from 9am to 10pm daily. There are five treatment rooms, each equipped with relaxing low lighting and scented oils, and a menu of rejuvenating treatments, which include traditional massages and revitalizing facials.
Aetas Bangkok is located on Sukhumvit Road in central Bangkok, just a 10-minute walk from Ploen Chit and Nana BTS Skytrain Stations. Wat Pho and the Grand Palace are around 30 minutes away by car or Skytrain. You’re also just a short way from CentralWorld, the largest shopping mall in Southeast Asia.
How to Get There
AETAS team is excellent and professional from start to finish, they gave me valuable advice and solutions to get out from my difficult time in Bangkok.
The hotel location is good, close to Central World and Central Embassy shopping mall; Room are comfort, big and clean, with good views of Bangkok
Hotel price are reasonable, with swimming pool, gym and bath in the room; Also the wait-time for the lift are quick; I would definitely recommend anyone to stay there~~
We stayed for 5 nights between the third and 8th of April and were very impressed overall with this hotel.
We stayed on the 24th floor and had access to the club lounge which was excellent. Our son and his wife who were on honeymoon stayed in the executive suite which they loved.
Check-in was swift and very welcoming with a refreshing drink which after an hours drive from the airport (due to traffic) was much needed.
Our room wasn’t quite ready so we were escorted into the Club lounge the fantastic and beautiful staff produced a beautiful afternoon tea for us. I explained I had coeliac disease and would just have fruit but no they asked if I’d like a salad and a fantastic salad appeared and it was great.
Between 6-8 pm it’s complimentary drinks cocktails and canapés and I always got another great salad. This hotel went above and beyond to make sure I was looked after.
Our son and his wife in their suite were so relaxed and comfortable they barely wanted to leave.
The pool on the 6th floor is a cool comfortable oasis with a bar. We didn’t use gym or massage facilities.
It’s a very well placed hotel just a short walk from the BTS skytrain and about a 15 minute walk from the bars and bustling ‘Nana’ area full of food stalls exciting bars and Go Go bars and massage parlours. Fun to see though.
The staff and overall hotel experience just made our five days in Bankok a lovely experience and we would have no problem recommending The Aetas to everyone.
Make sure go to the wrong building because from the reception they won't be able to find or check which building you should go. I think the hotel should provide more convenient system and information should be linked between 2 building.
This hotel has dramatically decreased in quality over the years. I have been at Aetas for the last 5 years, at least twice a year. I was there for a business trip, and they ruined 3 of my expensive suits. The hotel’s manager didn’t think he should come and meet. The receptionist was simply obnoxious. Will never return, and you should avoid this place.
I returned to Aetas Bangkok after having a positive and enjoyable stay at this hotel last year. This stay was as good as previous. On check in I was quickly escorted up to the executive lounge on the 24th Floor to continue the check in. I was upgraded to the executive suite on check in which was amazing! The check in staff were very helpful and brought me a welcome drink. Unfortunately I wasn’t feeling very well so was unable to drink it. The whole process of checking in was very quick and done with a smile.
My suite was located on the 23rd floor and as I remembered it from last time and it was very spacious. My room included free fast WiFi, Free minibar (both alcoholic and non alcoholic), tea and coffee facilities and snacks. As I wasn’t well I went for a sleep and woke up an hour later feeling a lot better. The bed was very comfortable and had enough power plugs and the bed control that operated the lights and air conditioning was very handy to have. The bathroom was spacious and luxurious offering both a bath and a shower as well as high quality toiletries.
Before heading out at night I went to the executive lounge for drinks. They were offering evening drinks and canapes. These included numerous cocktails, spirits, beers and all the soft drinks that are available throughout the day as well. The view from the executive lounge was excellent and a really relaxing place to enjoy a drink before heading out. WiFi was available as well so meant it was good to catch up with social media and such like. The canapes were tasty and a nice added touch.
Being in an executive suite, I had a choice of either dining for breakfast in the executive lounge or in the main restaurant. I opted for the main restaurant due to more selection and I genuinely enjoy the setting of the dining room. The dining room was great and staff were quickly over to take my order of tea or coffee and tell me where all the buffet foods are located. The choice was excellent and setting was good having a few muted televisions showing the news in the corner and full glass windows which meant you could see onto Bangkok.
Staff were excellent and the location of the hotel to Ploen Chit and also Lumphini Park makes it a great choice of hotel to stay at. The three complimentary dry cleaning items is also great and ideal if you are just off a plane as you don’t end up carrying unnecessary dirty clothes. I will be sure to stay at this hotel again when I return to Bangkok.
