How to Get There
Stayed here 3 nights, room clean, nice layout. Quite attractive, upscale vibe. But there were several misses- all related to service and how situations can be handled better.
Tried Italian restaurant for happy hour, quick dinner, solo. Sat at a high top table for 15 minutes- server said twice be right with you, and kept passing me by. Got up & left.
Next morning, called for room service - needed quick bite prior to a conference next door. It was 6am, which was time on menu- was told we don’t open for another 30 minutes. So, went to Starbucks for quick coffee & breakfast sandwich- but ahhh, no luck- credit card machine down, and server couldn’t provide receipt. Went back to room & ordered $40 continental breakfast :)
Final night, a Saturday, noticed what sounded like a concert out front. After quick walk to river front for dinner @ Las Canarias (wonderful by the way) passed the “concert.” A drummer with a complete drum kit & track playing... certainly talented. Back early, packing, could not believe how loud it was in my 12th floor room! I had a 5am Sunday flight- tried to get to sleep- but it was impossible. Had white noise app turned to max- no use. Called front desk, which must be common as the speech was prepared- “he has the right to assemble & play until 2am and sorry we are sold out.” WOW! I’ll keep that in mind- and hope you do too before picking a room, street side.
Such a shame when an otherwise nice property is tainted with poor service.
Sheets were very crispy and I ended up with rash onmy face and neck from pillow case felt like a chemical burn took 3 days with aloe on to recover My hsband also noted this but he must have tougher skinthanI do
Nice hotel with great location on the Riverwalk. The Zocca restaurant was nice. Good pasta, Large portions good enough for sharing. Service was good. Our waiter was knowledgeable. Unfortunately, I forgot his name. Rooms were spacious and comfortable. I did have some issues with my bathroom sink in that it drained slowly. They probably need to clear the drains. Otherwise, all was good.
