A dependable experience

We stayed at the hotel for 6 nights for a conference. The hotel was very busy, but we had a fine high quality experience overall. The pool was very clean and a great design. The exercise room was sufficient, but it could have used a locker room and shower. The staff is courteous and professional.

The ENTIRE staff was the absolute BEST I've ever encountered at any hotel !!! Beyond kind, helpful and hospitable!! I was treated like royalty by the valet service, bellmen, maid service, check-in, hotel operators, etc. The Ruth Chris Steakhouse had excellent service and delicious food.

HUMONGOUS place but very nice!

The hotel and the location are hard to beat, especially for convention attendees. It is not connected to the convention center but a short walk around the corner and just has close access to the riverwalk. Food was above average for a hotel, towels could stand an upgrade, but the room itself was very nice. Bed is covered in a large variety of pillows but I would have needed another couple of nights to find just the right pillow for me - the first two didn't cut it! Our room was far away from the elevators so we didn't have any noise, but did have a long walk to the room. Check bill to make sure you're charged for parking correctly - we requested self park but were charged for valet until had that taken off!

Anti Republican Establishment???

We were there for the Republican Convention and when we checked in we were told that there was not self or valet parking because the lot was full. Of course this was not the truth and the front desk clerk seemed to relish our displeasure. However we were saved by another front desk clerk that told us that this was not true and they had parking for hotel guests.
Then when we were checking out there were no and I mean no bell captains or clerks to hold our luggage until we could pick them up later. Luckily the same person that helped us with our parking came over and tried to call the bell captains or clerks but to no avail. So she checked in our luggage and the long line all by herself. She was a saint.

Whenever I go to conventions I want / need a hotel that will smooth out all the convention hours. I work hard and long hours at conventions. When I get back to my room I want everything smooth and easy. I want clean, comfortable and easy with a staff willing to work hard so to maximize my comfort.
