Great Stay with a few Quirks

We had a 2 day event at this hotel. The arrival process was easy (at the counter), but we were made aware that on the weekend they do not offer Bell assistance or Valet Parking (although they do offer it during the week).

I was able to request a lower floor (although in typically request a high floor, at this location lower floor room have less plane landing/takeoff noise). Some of our friends on upper floors did notice the flight noise, we did not.

We enjoyed the Breakfast Buffet. Actually very good, breakfast staff was very attentive and accommodating. Omelets cooked to order, grits and oatmeal, fresh fruit and yogurt, starbucks coffee etc.

They have a small “convenience store” if you need a soda or candy bar. Their meeting rooms were great and catered meals during our sessions were very good!

Great staff. Beautiful room. Bed is SUPER comfortable. AC/Heater works great as well. Only complaint is they need a bathmat in the tub. It's very slick. Finally, some complimentary Starbucks when we checked out. Free parking as well.

Stolen Items from Rooms

My group had 2 rooms for 3 days and another room for a night. We checkout of the 1 night room in the morning. I locked the doors when we checked out. Few hours later I realized I had left my shirts in the closet. I called the front desk staff and told them about it. When I came back for it and I was told that they cannot find it and try talking to head housekeeper in the morning. I asked if the room was sold and they said no one had checked in yet. I asked that they look at the room with me and someone walked me to the room. I did not see any shirts. The staff took my number and told me that they will call me after talking to head housekeeper the next day. I did not get any call the next day. I came back around 5 pm and spoke to Dannyfer and then Jay. They took my number again and told me they will check housekeeping rooms, talk to the staff and get back to me. I did not get the call. Third day I checked out and emailed Jay few days later to follow up. Few days later he said he found my shirts and sent me some pictures. Those were not my shirts. There should be a proper tracking of what stuff was recovered from what room. The shirts were a gift to me. The staff tried to be helpful but it felt like I had to follow up on the request all the time and they were only nice when I was around in person. I know should have checked the room better before checking out, and these things mostly happen in Motels. I was not expecting this from Westin.
