How to Get There
The hotel was very nice, sort of out there in the middle of no where by the motor speedway. The service was friendly. The nighttime lounge was really good. The morning - not so much - they need more fruit, berries. The restaurant was great for dinner. The breakfast buffet lacked a bit but was cheap - $12.95. There weren't fresh pastries or pancakes, etc. The gym was a bit hot....but it's a nice area to walk around. I'll stay here again for sure.
Very Convenient access to the Texas Motor Speedway. In town for a Firestone Tire Launch at the Texas Motor Speedway and stayed at Marriott. Very fine service throughout my stay. Beautiful large open public spaces for the guests including a lounge and Café. Good service at the lounge and food was very good at the Café. Lots of parking and right on Champions Circle Golf Course. Rooms were clean and good attention from the staff. Meeting Rooms, terrace and Banquet areas were first class. Enjoyed my stay.
From the moment I stepped into this place, I felt welcome. Really nice front desk staff and I wish I had had time to enjoy the pool and back fire pit.
The room was comfortable and well appointed. Great view of the golf course!
Would definitely go back. See photo of my view.
I stayed at this property Monday-Wednesday, March 11-13, 2019.
This property has a weird odor in the hallways of the 7th floor.
We left out on the morning of the 12th at about noon. We saw the maid in the hallway and I told her that we were leaving and I asked her to clean our room as we were leaving.
I even left a tip waiting for her.
We came back that night to a room that was never touched. Trash still in the cans; dirty towels on the floor where we left them; beds unmade; floors unvacuumed.
I called down to the desk and no real help was offered. "I could bring my trash down to the desk and pick up fresh towels," if I wanted to self-serve.
I can tell that with the traffic from the Texas Motor Speedways that this property is profitable to the owners. No money is being placed back into this property as it is clearly aging and weird smells are apparent throughout. It is aging and basic services are not good.
I used to look forward to this travel destination but will not ever go there again. It is a good dormitory for the pit crews and you will continue to make money. So, the response of the desk, i.e., "we do not care..." will work for your bottom line.
This is an outside structure that says 4 stars from the pictures and from afar but once you step inside, it screams 2 stars...
Very nice, older hotel. The public areas of the hotel are upscale. The bar is a great place to hang out except the acoustics are not the best - it gets extremely loud. The back patio has a beautiful fire pit and lots of seating. The fitness center is larger than most hotel fitness centers and has a decent amount of both cardio and weight-training equipment. All of the staff at the hotel were very pleasant and outgoing. Where the hotel lags are the guest rooms. They are definitely older and in need of modernizing. The closets are rather spacious, as is the bathroom. However, there are no USB ports anywhere in the room and the number of electrical outlets is minimal. I had to unplug the alarm clock in order to plug my phone in beside the bed. The room has great blackout curtains and got pitch black at night, which was undone by the fire alarm flashing all night. In my room, the shower was fine, but in my friend's room, the shower only had 2 temperature settings: freezing and scalding. The hotel was sold out, so she could not be moved to another room. A final oddity ... the hotel does have refrigerators available, but only upon request, and communal microwaves are available in the elevator lobbies on each floor. All of that said, we plan to stay there again later this year.
