How to Get There
We’ve stayed at many W brand hotels over the past 12 yrs. Usually around our anniversary. We’ve stayed at the this W probably 5 times or more. I can honestly say that the hotel is nice but service has been mediocre at best. UNTIL NOW. The day started out with the normal service but something weird happened. We went out for an early afternoon snack. When we returned, we were upgraded to the cool corner room. I have to give the biggest shoutout to Valet-Marshall, Front desk- Stacy, Patrick, and Crystal. Lastly Ambassadors, Chris and Sam added to our romantic weekend!!!! Can you say rose petal welcome!!!!
This hotel is great. Everything about it...except the people! Snobbish weirdos, the worst
The bar scene was a total fail although the atmosphere was top-notch. People ruied this hotel, the hotel itself is terrific.
The staff were nice and the room was amazing. The décor and bed was one of the most comfortable that I've slept on in a while during travel excursions. I highly recommend staying at this hotel if you are in Dallas!
I stayed for a weekend with girlfriends at the W Victory. The rooms were clean and modern, although there was no door to the shower/tub and sink room - just a large mirror that rotated and acted sort of like a door between the sink & shower and the bedroom area. The toilet was in a small room with a door. The beds were comfy and the staff polite and helpful. The scene at the bar both nights we were there was pretty crazy - loads of people (wedding parties, prom etc). There was a DJ and while there was no dance floor, we danced. There wasn't much to walk to without crossing a lot of traffic (Saint Ann restaurant was walkable and fantastic), but uber worked out fine.
We had a lot of good experiences during our stay. The staff were all wonderful. The accomodations were nice. The room was clean-ish. We visited Bliss Spa and were pampered wonderfully. The reason for my "average" rating is that we were promised things that we did not receive. As a traveler with my dog I paid the extra $100 to bring him. Their "signature PAW Program" promises to provide things such as dog bowls and special door hangers to notify housekeeping that a pet is in the room. These things make traveling with a pet easier and make paying the additional $100 worthwhile. We didn't receive any of this, though it was clear in my reservation that I would be traveling with my dog. When I asked about the items I was told, rather curtly, that those items are "first come first serve". No, according to the hotel website they are NOT first come first serve. (See attached photo). The staff were able to find a bowl for my dog about an hour later - but we still never received any of the other promised items. I'd like to point out that even though the hotel didn't honor what their part of the agreement, they still charged the full $100 for bringing my pet.
The room itself was comfortable but somewhat underwhelming. The throw pillows were old and has lost their "diamonds" and there were stains on the curtains. I could hear people in the hallway late night/early morning both nights of our stay causing me to awake from sleep.
While the weekend was still a good one, I probably wouldn't go back. For the same price that I paid we could've stayed at The Joule. The W was not a good value and they didn't keep their promises.
