How to Get There
Have stayed here at least once a week since the remodel up until now they have never charged for parking.
Now, they are charging for parking. The lady was very rude and inconsiderate when I questioned her about it. She said she didn’t care if I went somewhere else from now on. I am in the dallas area and staying in a hotel 1 to 2 nights a week.
Air conditioners are very loud in the rooms they were not changed out during remodel and lot of highway noise especially if you are staying on the highway 635 side. On the weekends I think they have races up and down the highway.
Received a great Groupon deal for the Sheraton Dallas for $79/night for a traditional King room. While the renovations are aesthetically pleasing in the lobby with modern furnishings and in the rooms with large flat screen TVs and remodeled bathrooms with sliding barn doors, the walls are paper thin and you will hear everything your guests say over a whisper (I mean EVERYTHING), especially if they are in the joined suites. I'd request a room that does not face the highway as the traffic can get quite loud (we were on the 11th floor and it still sounded like we were on the first). The A/C unit is incredibly loud but you can always use it to drown out the sound of traffic outside. You do also have to pay $12/night for parking so keep that in mind, but on Groupon we were able to have parking added for just $5. I'd skip on the breakfast option as it's quite basic and overpriced and just drive a couple minutes away to some wonderful restaurants. Those things aside, we had a great stay and a great night's sleep. Staff were prompt to last minute requests for slippers, robes, etc. The hotel is located in a great location, literally in the middle of so much.
The hotel is in good condition a big lobby and bar at entrance, the room is comfortable and clean, the front office staff is amazing always helpful, I was there in January for the NCAA semifinals, the tickets arrived to hotel via post
and communication was great they took care of them until deliver, the location is great a walk distance to the Galleria Mall, really had a nice stay and do not understand the bad reviews.
Something to highlight is the General Manager, reason why could not understand complaints about staff, for me they was a reflect from the leadership of management.
Kudos for the GM Mr. Rob Auman, I did receive an email from him before check in, I know is an automatic email but very smart he describe his property so I already have a picture of the place I will stay, welcoming me, up selling their best dishes, promoting the restaurant and more important offering me the open door to contact them if something can go wrong during my stay, rather than wait to do a bad review, as well he sent an email at my check out, as well he sent an email at my check out providing me a farewell and personalizing the experience with his disposition to attend any anomalies during my time in the hotel.

I gave a 4 star rating but would rather have given a 3.5 if it was an option. We stayed here because it was close to where our family lives and we were in town for a baby shower.
We arrived on a Friday night around 10pm after traveling and were looking forward to relaxing and going to bed. Check in was easy and we had a spacious room for 3 adults. However, as soon as we stepped off the elevator on our floor, we could hear loud music and it was coming from the room next to us. I informed the front desk and they called and the music stopped for about 15 mins and then started up again. I called again to the front desk and let them know. Then we started hearing a girl loudly talking on her phone, practically screaming. We could hear every word she was saying. I called again to the front desk and asked to be moved to another room as it was now almost 11pm and we did not want to deal with the noise all night. The front desk staff were nice and understanding and promptly moved us to another room on another floor.
The new room was quiet when we arrived and went to bed; however I woke up at 4:30am because I could hear two men talking loudly next door. I could hear every word they were saying. The next day, one man was on speaker phone with a woman and again I could practically hear their whole conversation.
Both of these rooms were connecting rooms and maybe that is the issue but I would prefer to stay somewhere with some more sound proofing.
We did find the beds to be comfortable and the temperature the first night was perfect. However, it was hot throughout the entire second night no matter how much we adjusted the thermostat. There is a small fridge which I appreciated but it wasn't very cold inside. We found the water pressure in the shower to be lacking and the hot water didn't stay consistent. It would be hot and then cut out to cooler and then back again.
I could tell that they recently renovated and although we didn't use it, there was a nice large bar area that would be great for groups. Overall, I was appreciative of the staff and their assistance but I would probably not stay here again.
This hotel is nice. Very nice looking in the inside. The bar area seemed very lively and had tons of people there on a Saturday night. The room was nice and spacious. The bed was weird, it made some weird sound of cardboard buckling every time I moved. Maybe the springs are going bad but the bed was horrible. Come on now, you didn’t renovate the hotel and not change out old worn mattresses. When I awoke the next morning, I checked and it’s a layer of protection to soften things up.. maybe it was the box spring I heard buckling. After further investigation it looks like it might have been the box spring. The bed is so cheap the box spring was buckling from weight. Before you go there, I’m 5’5, 135 lbs.. ha
