How to Get There
Everyone who works at this hotel - starting with the quick check in experience (I’m sorry I don’t remember your name!) to Stefan, the knowledgeable bartender with amazing recommendations - has been absolutely wonderful. Best business trip I’ve had in months, to the extent that I’ll go out of my way to stay here in the future.
The friendly welcome after a long travel day, coupled with a Bonvoy Gold status upgrade, was a great start to my stay here. A couple bumps along the way but not enough to knock off a star. I’d stay here again.
Room was stylish and the bed was comfortable. Thermostat was easy to adjust as I was a little chilly on arrival. Bathroom was bright and clean and the toiletries were very nice. Overall proportions of the room were quite large. No minibar, which wasn’t a huge deal, but did seem surprising relative to the overall feel/style of the hotel and room.
Gym: not huge, but clean, well lit, well ventilated, and it has two Peloton bikes which I thought was really quite a nice feature!
NOTE FOR EARLY RISERS: no coffee maker in the room unless you ask for one to be sent up. The lobby coffee doesn’t come out til 6ish and so I found this disappointing. On the bright side, the lobby coffee was definitely better than any you can make in a normal hotel room.
Great hotel but what was really great was the customer service.
Cold day in Dallas and we were going to be outside. Couldn't find a hat to buy locally so the desk attendant offered me a hat!
Coming back, I dropped my cell phone getting out of an Uber. Fell right down into a sewer drain. Couldn't reach it. Frankie and Byron came to the rescue. They worked for over 1/2 hour to get the lid off the sewer and fishing out the phone for me. They are both tremendous! Highly recommend this hotel if for no other reason than the people!
Visited Dallas on business/pleasure last weekend and stayed at the Stoneleigh - What a treat! Warm welcome from the valets (Mike and Daniel), helpful and kind front desk check-in from Hillary, and a wonderful room, clean and well-appointed.Went to the bar both nights of my stay and felt welcome and met very nice guests and a couple of locals. Saturday morning in the restaurant, which I arrived one-minute before they stopped serving by a very delightful "Edgar" who ensured I was served quickly with great care. My only criticism was the "TP" in the bathroom...which I'm sure might work equally well in a prison to cut costs - come on guys! All in all, I had a wonderful stay and would certainly repeat it with my wife for a fun weekend in Dallas.
From the time I dropped my car at the valet, through check-in, lobby service for coffee, and picking up my car, this was a completely enjoyable stay at a top-notch hotel. Very cozy in the lobby, with free coffee in the early a.m., large room with a gigantic walk in closet, great water pressure for the shower, and very comfortable bed.
I also liked the close to, but not in, downtown location.
Daniel, who greeted me in the lobby by name as I was about to leave, took my luggage and got my car. That this young man remembered my name, without a refresher, from the night before, was very impressive. Nicely done!
This is a top-notch hotel, that has a European feel, and understands customer service.
