How to Get There
I chose this Hotel for a weekend getaway for my wife and I. The whole experience was easy and refreshing. The parking, and check in/out was smooth. The staff upgraded us to a deluxe room when we got there. The staff was very friendly and made you feel important. Our room was on the terminal side, and the view was fantastic. Next time we will stay on the runway side. The room was exquisite, warm and inviting. This truly is a 4 star Hotel! I highly recommend this place for a weekend getaway, you will not be disappointed!
It's easy to justify staying at this hotel simply for the reason of its convenience to the airport terminal. But the Grand Hyatt at DFW goes so far beyond that. I will stay here even when my meetings are downtown.
I called to ask about how to get from Terminal C to the hotel. I read about a hotel shuttle that can take you from Terminal C to Terminal D (where the hotel is), so I wanted to find out whether I really needed that or if I could walk. I was surprised that the Director of Rooms (Christopher Carter) answered his phone directly. He explained to me that it was not walkable, but if I wanted I could just take the Skylink between the terminals (inside the sterile area), and the hotel was right outside of the exit at gate D22. This seemed to be convenient enough, so I thanked him.
A few minutes later, I was surprised to receive a call back from the hotel, and it was him again. He took the time to look into the schedule of the Skylink, and found that they were going to be performing maintenance on the train during the time frame I told him my flight would arrive. He wanted to make sure I was aware, and took my flight information and had the shuttle waiting for me outside.
This was just one of the many incredible staff interactions I had at this property. The World of Hyatt benefits were also very good, and they take them seriously (unlike some other properties).
You don't expect this sort of experience at an airport hotel. What a bonus that you also have amazing views of planes and runways. The planespotting book in the room is a nice touch (note that the A320 entry is out-of-date due to the recent change from winglets to sharklets, even though it has other planes that post-date that change).
Every about this hotel is high quality, but it serves the WORST bread in the world. Are you kidding -- how could you serve that junk??? Go out and buy some whole grain bread to serve at breakfast.
The rooms are really nice (love the auto dimmers), the seabass is the best I've ever eaten, and the gym is wonderful. I stay with you at least 3X yr.
This one is an unexpected gem given the location. Of course you are at DFW so the local sightseeing is limited to counting Samsonites but the restaurant in the hotel is excellent/downside is no club facility but for an overnight it can’t be beat
Stayed here again for one night before my next 6:50am flight . It was another great experience with Grand Hyatt DFW. Front desk was very helpful and got an upgrade. Felt like an VIP with my hyatt status.
