How to Get There
Once again they are on point from check in to check out. The lounge is well managed and an engaging place to be in the evening or for breakfast. It is always well stocked and staff could not be kinder or more interested in seeing you have all you could want or need. My room was large, clean and well maintained. Everyone if friendly, and wants you to know they are there to see to your ever need. The restaurant was right on point! It is my go to hotel when in Austin; and, I am never disappointed.
In general we liked the hotel - pretty clean and festive - with nice indoor pool and spa. But I believe the staff of such hotel should have been a bit more attentive to the guests. We said several times at the reception that our son turns 10 exactly during our stay at the hotel. Of course we did not expect any presents but at least some acknowledgment or congratulations would be nice.
We don’t know if there are any rules and/or internal policies about it but it definitely depends on a person there. We had a little Happy Birthday cake eating in the lobby near the café in the evening of 11/21. The girl working in the café (with very beautiful name Desiree) noticed that and she came back in 10-15 minutes with complimentary milk and cookies for the kids (the Birthday boy also has 5yo younger brother) AND with hand-written Birthday Card. It is absolutely low-cost for the hotel and very pleasant for us :) Thank you Desiree – hope the hotel appreciates smart-thinking and attentive employees who save the hotel's reputation after all ;)
Thank you Eve McBee for all the support right from the start of the room/wedding planning. Your prompt responses, details and say YES attitude was definitely appreciated in making the event a great success. Thank you for all the room accommodations especially for the bride and groom!!
Thank you Ramiro Tanguma, Tony Martins, Kelly Matthews - you guys were just amazing. Your email correspondence, the details of the menu and drink list and the exceptional service was just above and beyond!!.
Thank you to Lisa, Keith, Martin and the front desk team for assisting with a seemless check in/out process and the room accommodations.
YOU all made the wedding last weekend a very WOW experience. Everything was just amazing!! thank you again for everything!!
Excellent hotel for a conference. Lots of stores and restaurants within walking distance, including a Trader Joe's with wine. Every room has a refrigerator so a simple breakfast in your room is easy to do. The fitness room, although simple, has a TRX. I was worried about noise from the atrium, but it was not a problem. Very nice staff. Conference food was unusually good. Kitchen staff was awesome.
I had never stayed at a Renaissance hotel before and the pictures made it look Elegant, so we decided to try it out. The hotel is interesting, it looks nice when you enter and the lobby is breath taking. However, when we arrived to our room it did not have the wow factor like the rest of the hotel. The caulk around the tub was porley done and had this ivory/off white tint to it making it appear to be dirty. The bathroom floor looked as if it had not been cleaned and there was built up dirt and dust on the baseboards. The room was the quality of a 2 star hotel, and the indoor pool area was okay but nothing spectacular. The doormen were very polite, the lobby was well designed and attractive. The person that checked me in, she was not very polite, and it seemed as if that's the last place she wanted to be.
