How to Get There
I really enjoyed staying at this hotel, it’s very clean! It’s huge and a bit confusing to navigate, by the time I got it figured out the conference was over. The food in the hotel restaurants was overpriced, of course, but delicious at least. The only problem was that the walls in the guest rooms are very thin. I could hear the person in the next room using the restroom, speaking with her family on the phone, etc.
The staff coming into the hotel was very helpful and so was the front desk staff. Any of the staff you met in the hallways were very helpful as well. The room was clean and the amenities were nice. The water in the showers was hot. I really enjoyed my stay.
The place is great in most respects. Except the AC. Austin was 98 degrees for my stay. It’s kften not there. The room AC is tied to a motion sensor, when it does t sense motion, the AC goes to nearly off. Not totally off but meaningfully warmer in your room. That’s fine during the day but it’s also set for night. I asked the front desk twice and they said that was by design. Each night the room would start off fine and cool, then get warmer and wake us up. It was miserable. I asked for a box fan and they said they didn’t have one.
