How to Get There
This place is so beautiful! When my coffee maker stopped working in my room, the front desk brought me a big cup of coffee with a shot of expresso. The breakfast was amazing! They also upgraded me to a cottage, which was out of this world! The staff was so friendly. Anytime I am visiting in Arlington, this is where I will stay.
My husband and I were in Arlington to visit our son whose place is too small for guests. He wanted a different experience than your traditional hotel, so he found the Sanford House Bed & Breakfast for our stay. I am SO glad he did! It was wonderful in all aspects!
The rooms are so beautifully decorated with actual antiques (including chairs in the dining rooms). Because of that, every room is unique in its furnishings. We stayed in one of the cottages. It had ample room with a living room, small kitchenette, generous king size bed, and lovely bath with a separate shower and spa tub. It also had a private parking space for our cottage behind a gated driveway entrance. It was just a short walk across a lovely patio between our cottage and the main house where the dining room was located.
The dining was delicious. Every morning we ate our included breakfast choosing from dishes of pancakes, omelets, waffles, french toast, oatmeal and fruits. We had lunch one of the days we were there from a rotating menu of entrees. I had pulled pork quesadillas and it was honestly one of the best quesadillas I've ever had!
One night we were there, we had an event to attend that I wanted to be especially "done up" for, so I booked a hair style and make-up with their associated spa. It was a great experience, very professionally done by kind personnel, and at a very reasonable price as far as spas go.
All the staff we dealt with were very nice, welcoming and extremely accommodating to any request. I give the Sanford House my highest recommendation and hope we have a chance to stay there again in the future.
We booked our room for the NFL Draft, so this was the perfect location as it is very close to the stadium. My son and I enjoyed our stay very much. Great service, great room and bed. Morning breakfast was delicious and great serving size. I left impressed with everything.
The room was large and beautiful. The staff very accommodating. This was a very pleasurable experience. Had there been an elevator this would have rated an A+. I could however manage the steps. Definitely reccomend.
Even though I’m from Dallas, I was unaware of The Sanford House until I was gifted a stay there. The overall stay was excellent; I would highly recommend it and return.
Background: we stayed Saturday-Sunday at the Bristol Cottage. We took advantage of the “Best Is Yet To Come” package which provides a $75 voucher towards dinner and two, 1-hour massages (great sea!). Fresh cookies and breakfast come with any stay! We also booked a mani/pedi at the spa next door.
Cons: The Sanford House is located nearby apartment complexes; it feels like a strange place to have a B&B so you really should take advantage of the restaurant and spa/salon because there’s not much around the area.
Pros: the customer service here is exceptional, from the front desk receptionist (I spoke to about 4 different people and all of them were so professional, patient, and kind), servers, and people at the spa (I’m comparing it to my experience at the JW Marriott San Antonio which has top notch customer service). The beds were comfortable, fireplace turned on when we walked in, and within a gated area. If the weather was better, we would have enjoyed the courtyard. The food at the restaurant is amazing! We had dinner there and the lamb rack was out of this world. The hot breakfast is set up where you order off a menu, but there are at least 5 items and everything, including the toast, tastes so fresh and tasty. Our deep tissue massages were one of the best we’ve had and the ladies doing the mani/pedi were so pleasant and professional.
We used a gift certificate and it was the easiest experience to use (they booked spa services for us and added gratuity/tips on our behalf). I would highly recommend gifting someone a stay here!
Thank you everyone!
