How to Get There
Wonderful service start to finish.
Room service is always great . Had champagne for my guest and I. Easy to find downtown and great central location for all the down town hot spots. Easy checkout and lovely room.
I stay here approximately once a month when work requires. I’m probably in a hotel on average 2 nights a week it seems. I’ve been staying here since it was Inn at the ballpark. In my opinion, best bang for the buck as far as location, price, room (great rooms!) and service (actually still with 24/7 in-room dining which has ended at other downtown hotels). And the staff at the bar (Cortnee, Analey, Serena, Lasha and Sofia) downstairs is awesome and make you feel very welcome (probably why I keep coming back). Definitely recommend
Husband and I came in to see Paul Simon from Shreveport. We stayed at the Westin Downtown. We generally prefer Westin when traveling. This one is just as nice as all the others we've stayed at, including the one in the Woodlands where we stayed in November. It's right next to Minute Maid park and our room was even facing it and we had great views of downtown. There was a game that weekend and the lobby/bar area was very crowded and festive, still had no problem getting a drink while we waited for our dinner reservations.
Went to eat at Vic & Anthony's which is right across the street, excellent meal, cannot recommend enough!
Toyota Center was a very quick uber right away but you could really walk. We took a rickshaw back, thought we were going to die in the traffic but it was nice once we got away from all the folks leaving Paul Simon.
Spent a little extra to get the free breakfast with the room which proved to be a great deal and it was a great breakfast. We got the buffet which was good, all the regular menu offerings plus an omelet station.
We stayed at the Westin from Friday to Sunday for the Astros Game and received excellent service from Cortnee at the bar in the lobby. Very attentive, friendly, and has a great sense of humor, even though our table of 8 was difficult at times. Next time we are in town for the Astros I will stay at the Westin again and request Cortnee!
Stayed for 3 days and 4 nights. The hotel has lovely accommodations and the food menu items we had for lunch very much exceeded our expectations. However, our stay was a bit unpleasant when we came over to the bar one night to have a nice and relaxing evening when we were interrupted by our rude server, Kourney who carried an extremely displeasing attitude. On top of that, she continued to ignore our requests all night long while she stood in the front and did nothing. She projected a very condescending tone with us and even worse, rolled her eyes at us a couple of times after asking a few standard questions. We left very unsatisfied. We were so sure that we would not return however, we came in one late evening and decided to give the bar another shot. We were able to turn around our bad experience with the wonderful service provided by Penny. Penny like the rest of the staff was very inviting and did our best to make us feel like home. Overall, our stay was an okay experience. Will be returning soon.
