How to Get There
A fairly up market experience with warm welcome , good food options, spacious rooms (but no USB charging points!) , free shuttle to and from airport and great location close to a number of offices (including my Texas location).
The hotel is light and you get a great feeling of space.
Good for business but I would also venture good for leisure.
After a weather delayed trip, it was a pleasant surprise to get such a warm welcome at this hotel. My room was clean and restful so I was ready for meetings that evening. The conference room was fully equipped and a great meeting space.
I stayed here recently for 2 weeks for business - my second only time staying in America. The rooms were very comfortable, king size beds with 5 pillows, and spacious. The bathrooms clean, well stocked, and indulgent.
The bar/restaurant is really good. Friendly service, with a good range of beers - both local and international. I was pleased to see Stella sold there. The food was excellent - I strongly recommend the burgers and ribs.
The breakfast buffet has a good range of food - freshly cooked omelettes, egg, bacon/sausage, cereals, pancakes, and some bread. Everyday I was offered fruit juice and coffee - both were excellent.
The only downsides - the aircon in my room was a bit noisy when left on over night, it made a loud noise when the thermostat clicked in and that woke me up. 2 nights I heard helicopters outside somewhere - perhaps I was unlucky.
The most annoying bit was the WiFi. For casual browsing it's good. But if you expect to hold Skype/conference calls, I'd be cautious. I found it wasn't quite fast enough to support call + slide showing for a small meeting. WhatsApp voicecalls dropped a couple of times.
I couldn't watch Amazon Prime without it dropping on a regular basis.
Had a very good experience staying in Hyatt and will be opting the same Hotel for my future stays whenever I plan to visit Houston. Hospitality of the staff was awesome. SAM's food and services were impressive
Great property and location! They were doing construction when we visited so some of the amenities we didn’t get to take advantage of but we will stay here again. The staff was very understanding. They went out there way to bring us extra blankets. My husband and I are expecting and I haven’t been able to sleep comfortably but the beds were incredible. I got some well needed rest! Also, they really helped my husband with my craving request at the restaurant as it was very convenient. Great job to the staff and thank you for all you do!
