How to Get There
I have stayed at this Hyatt Regency several times and my visit is always enjoyable. All of the employees are very helpful and friendly, from shuttle service to check in, restaurant, room service and housekeeping. I would choose to stay here whenever I visit Houston.
We were pleasantly surprised at how quickly we were able to get to and from the airport. Great location. The pool was pretty awesome too. Not your standard hotel pool. Kind of felt like a tropical paradise.
The Breakfast buffet was good, wait staff were a little show, except one exceptional waiter (David); housekeeping staff was helpful, but a little overwhelmed when supplies were low. Front desk was unexpectedly slow when responding to phone requests.
This property was a HUGE let down... Shower drain, plugged up, overly cold HVAC regardless of setting, uncomfortable beds, little amenities. Not a pleasant stay, our backs are still sore... The rooms are VERY out dated, and the property as a whole needs a TON of money to update to a modern standard. IMHO, it's a cash cow, since it's somewhat near the airport.
I went to Houston for a outdoor concert. When I told one of the ladies they said pleases Hydrate because Houston is very humid. She also gave me a couple of bottles of water to take with me. Awesome Service.
