How to Get There
When we walked into the hotel we felt a good vibe. It was clean and everyone was extremely professional and nice. Big shout out to the front desk team they noticed you every time you past with kind word and a smile. Food was great in the am and pm. Walking distances to the Astro stadium and much more. I will be back!!
The stay to the hotel was great BUT the person that was so helpful that really will make me recomend this property is Ms Marianela Riesner. I had some issues with my booking and she did everything was possible to solve this and make me a happy customer! Really a professional, thank you!
Very lovely decoration, specific aesthetic focus and references, very 1940s, pre midcentury modern. Appreciative that every evening they had snacks and juice by the elevator. It is really helpful in Houston humidity to have a little pick me up. The bank vault door in the back of the front desk is really impressive and unique. Breakfast was also a highlight, though i ordered from room service i was satisfied. Obviously the bathrooms are beautiful, and the tub has jets in it. It is also in a good location, near several very good eateries, bars and coffee shops. Another pro is that it has it's own taxi service run by a very nice gentleman.
Really good black out curtains, it was very dark and restful in my room.
Very prompt and responsive service. i had a tear in my linens and i responded to a survey and within minutes they sent people to change them.
This is a personal preference but they used way too much perfume scent in the lobby and in the rooms. It felt like i was living in a glade plug in and it nauseated me at times. I started walking into the hotel breathing through my nose so that I wouldn't get sick from the smell.
There is no pool, which i should have looked at before booking, serious disappointment.
The television in my room was old and grainy. that whole system should be updated.
The bed was not the best. I didn't have any pain when i slept but it was obviously an old springy mattress, harder than i was expecting for a hotel bed.
There were some red stains on the wallpaper, not sure what they were. And, most to my chagrin, i never figured out how to turn the jets on :(
