Avoid it if you can

It’s too bad this is the closest hotel to campus - but it seems they know this so they fail on every other front:-no bellman-extra $20 a night to park (self park)-dirty toilet (gross)-no microwave available anywhere-parking ticket works 50% of the time. Otherwise you have to re-park, go back to the front desk and get a new ticket-dish tv so if it rains there is no tv service-terrible restaurant as well(very long wait, no attention to food allergies)-high prices

Convenient but watch your price!!

This hotel is convenient if you are doing anything at UH. Parking is $20 which tacks onto the room. The whole process was annoying because I originally went to book this hotel in October for a December event and the price was sky high—over $200. The week before I booked my friend had booked a room for $121. I booked anyway bc of convenience but the rest of my group booked a hotel much farther away bc of the price. My husband happened to check the rate the day before we left and it was $134 online. I called the hotel to ask if they could match that rate and they “allowed” me to cancel my reservation because it was over 40 hours away but they couldn’t just change my rate. I had to go back online and rebook at $134. Seems a little fishy but I was glad to save the $$ so I did it.

When we got to the hotel I overheard someone on the phone in the same situation and they charged them $45 to change their reservation bc it was under 40 hours. The pricing model just seems random and not above board. I understand demand should drive the prices higher but it seemed like the play games and penalize people who plan ahead bc there really isn’t anothe hotel nearby that is safe and on campus. Then they released rooms at the normal rate right as the window to cancel closes..my rate was an Honors Flex rate which meant I couldn’t cancel within 3 days. Thankfully I called the hotel directly and got a kind soul! Otherwise I would have been stuck with my original $212 rate plus tax and parking!

Completely satisfied

Our stay at University of Houston Hilton Hotel was awesome. The rooms were spacious and nicely decorated. Bathroom was spacious and shower was big. Water could have been a little hotter. The sundry store had good snacks.

Being able to stay on the U of H campus for activities with my son who is a student there is pretty awesome. We will stay at this location whenever we get a chance and the price is not too crazy- as the price does change frequently.

Makes visiting University of Houston a pleasure

First time to stay at the Hilton on campus for homecoming weekend. We normally stay downtown (Magnolia) decided to give the U of H Hilton a try. Loved it. Great staff, service, and Eric's restaurant was nice as well.
