Overview

Luxe city-center mainstay for business jaunts and poolside happy hours, close to downtown hot spots

The Lowdown

One of Houston’s grande dame business hotels with 404 rooms and suites, the Four Seasons is located in the heart of the city. The luxury chain applies its superior service standards to business travelers and leisure guests. The outdoor pool scene is bustling, with a full bar with a tapas menu, while the Lobby Lounge offers Southwestern-style bar food. The award-winning Italian restaurant, Quattro, and Vinoteca wine bar make a perfect pairing. To unwind after a long day of work or night of fun, hit the small Clarins spa.

In the Area

There are a plethora of quintessentially Texas — and quintessentially Houston — hidden attractions throughout this bustling business hub. Many are quite close to the hotel, such as the Space Center and the House of Blues and Discovery Green across the street. The hotel’s location also puts it within a roughly 10-minute drive of restaurants like tasting-menu-only Oxheart (considered the best in the city and among the country’s finest), Japanese eatery Uchi, casual and delicious The Pass & Provisions and perennial favorite Vietnamese spot Les Givral’s Kahve. For the best thoughtfully mixed cocktails in town, hit Anvil, a bar that is wildly popular among locals and national food editors alike.

luxury hotel but not perfect

Check-in was smooth and friendly. We stayed one week for business/conference. The suite was quite spacious but the whole design looked already a bit "outdated". As in many American hotels you have carpets all over, they do not look always very clean... Bathroom had all you need but again looked a bit old-school.
Breakfast in the Restaurant was good but far to expensive for the offered quality.
The Spa offered good quality treatment.
The pool area lookd nice but due to weather conditions we could not use it.
It was not clearly communicated that there is a "house car" available, we only heard about it at the end of our stay from colleagues.
The Hotel Bar offered a nice variety of drinks and bar food - again the prices seemed very high.

The Four Seasons Houston is always an amazing experience. The facilities are beautiful and the room and beds are very comfortable. The staff is professional, friendly and always helpful. The best hotel experience and highest level of service.

Four Seasons service but not the property.

The service is top notch Four Seasons standard. Everyone was super great and helpful, I loved the convenient and complementary chauffeur service, especially the chauffeurs who were super friendly and resourceful. But the rooms were super disappointing and require serious upgrade for it to be 5 star. The bathrooms were a shower tub combination straight out of the 80's and the furniture had better days. The room size was great and the bed and sheets were definitely Four Seasons standard, but that was about it. I will stay there if and when they upgrade the rooms.
