Worst hotel I’ve stayed at in a long time
Lauracalderon992

I was here for my birthday weekend trip in Houston. The customer service could use some serious improvement. On our last day the valet lost the keys to our rental car. We wasted most of our last day in Houston just having to deal with the rental company & hotel manager. We missed out on plans we had made for our last day in the city as a result of their negligence and carelessness. Trust me, stay somewhere else.

Good and bad

Mixed thoughts about this hotel. Great hotel in some ways, not so good on others. Location is good. The hotel is about 15 mins walk from the Convention Centre. The Metrorail train stops opposite the hotel and the public 102 bus from the airport stops two blocks away. The rooms are spacious and bed soft. The toiletries and tea/coffee supplies in rooms are good. Quality coffee machine is in the foyer offering free coffee 24 hours a day. Staff were efficient and helpful. The main problems were the noise levels and cleanliness. There is a large dirty circle on the shower floor where people stand. It needed a good scrub with scrubbing brush. The walls are not soundproof so arguments, phone conversations, bathroom noises, doors, coughing, etc are loud. Two nights I got little sleep. I resorted to sleeping during the day to catch up. If guests cannot get a good rest during their stay they checkout feeling worse than they arrived.

Have stayed a few times at this club quarters but this one was rather disappointing. I know the rooms are smaller than normal but the one I was given this time was something I've never experienced before. In addition, the internet connectivity was poor and I called the front desk to see if there was an issue or perhaps the area of the building my room was in had any effect and she somewhat rudely said neither was the case and the internet was fine. I also asked if the reason I was put in 413 was b/c I booked via Priceline.com and she again rudely said no and how reservations are made have no impact on room selection. Valet guys were extremely friendly and efficient however so that was nice
