How to Get There
This hotel was awesome. Beautiful room and friendly service. The room was very clean and modern. I bit of a walk to broadway, but worth it! I would definitely go back next trip to Nashville. The lobby was very nice.
Generally speaking the hotel is nice and staff friendly. Needed to make multiple requests for towel service but when they finally showed up they left a huge pile of towels.
My biggest concern was finding an envelope with my room number and a working key card in it laying outside my door. The front desk clerk said it was supposed to have been slid under my door since I had two separate reservations and they needed to rekey from one day to the next. The clerk didn’t seem too concerned about it and I insisted on having all keys canceled and replaced.
Later on I spoke with Rebecca as I was still upset and she was immediately concerned about the violation of protocol. She is the only reason this is not a 1-star review as this incident overshadows an otherwise enjoyable stay. Her concern was what I should have experienced with the first clerk.
The bell hop staff were very friendly and accommodating event in unseasonably hot and humid weather.
In general, the staff was excellent. However, I had to call guest services several times to report problems with the room and oftentimes the phone was not picked up.
Valet staff were great and very welcoming but we waited 15 minutes for our car on several occasions.
The sink wasn’t draining properly but the engineer came up and was very nice. His attempt to snake the sink didn’t work so he had to come back later. His follow up visit fixed the problem. Very friendly guy.
The biggest problem was with the coffee maker. For some reason they have large Starbucks coffee filter ‘pods’ that are about 3-4” in diameter. The coffee makers in the room are designed to take a 1-2” coffee filter pod. When you stuff the large filter pod into the coffee pod holder there’s no room for the water to drain properly so water spills over the side and all over the desk. When I reported this problem they apologized and brought me a different coffee maker with a slightly larger coffee filter holder. Unfortunately, when I went to use it the next morning it didn’t turn on. I tried plugging it into another outlet but still no luck. We were leaving that day so no coffee for us that morning. I don’t think the replacement coffee maker would’ve worked much better because it was still undersized for the coffee pod filter. Management needs to either replace all the coffee makers or replace the Starbucks product with the correct, smaller coffee pods. Our friends in another room had the same problem so this must be happening in the whole hotel. I’m surprised no one has reported this to Sheraton, given the flooding mess it creates.
To Sheratons credit, they gave us a bottle of wine, a box of chocolates and a nice apology note.
The marble door saddle to the bathroom was very dirty and the carpet was pulled slightly away from the door saddle (room 1510). I’m in the Facilities business managing commercial properties so I notice these things. Hopefully, Sheraton will correct these problems because the rooms are pretty nice otherwise. As I stated earlier, the staff were very nice.
