How to Get There
While the hotel staff at the front desk were nothing to write home about, the staff at the Library Bar were phenomenal. Each night, our girl group would stop by to say hi, grab a night cap and close the night. Alyssa was especially excellent!
As a platinum member at Marriott, I’m confounded that at large prestige hotel chain like Sheraton, has the audacity to charge over $230 per night for rooms that are not even clean.
If they don’t have the staff to clean the rooms then don’t rent them out. There was black mud and dark fuzz all over the carpet, the towels were dirty, they had toothpaste on 2 of them and there was (what I’m hoping) food on the walls, dark hair in the sink and the beds were all messed when we walked in our room.
When I called to the front desk to let them know at 10pm about the condition of the room, they said they would send someone up in the morning. We all ended up sleeping in our clothes, because the staff at the Sheraton took such little care or concern for the people staying in room 1203 that they probably didn’t even change the sheets on the bed. Appalling!!!
This hotel is disgusting, don’t waste your money...if you must stay here bring a hazmat suit!
This hotel did not disappoint me. This was the third hotel I stayed in one week between business obligations and family fun weekend. The beds were extremely comfortable and I was delightfully surprised by the beauty and comfort of the bedding. The bath room was spotless and even in my attempts to run the wet white wash cloth along the tile edges where it met the wall, there was not any dust buildup. As an elite member, I was a little discouraged at the concierge lounge. The breakfast was good, but the evening hordourvers were a little less than desirable. But over all the staff was courteous, the room clean and comfortable. This hotel iconveniently located near the Bridgestone Arena where we saw Bob Seger one night and Willie Nelson, acommpanied by half of the famous musician living in Nashville including Dave Mathews, George Straight, John Melencamp, Jimmy Buffet, Cheryl Crow, Emmy Lou Harris, and a few others I’m forgetting, the following night. A great place to stay!
We really enjoyed going to the Club Lounge in the early mornings to read the paper and enjoy some breakfast. The time spent there was superb due to the care and hospitality we received from Melvin. We will stay at the Sheraton Grand Nashville Downtown next time we come to this beautiful city. Fantastic overall experience!!!
I stayed in Nashville May through December 2018 almost every week. My favorite place to stay there is the Sheraton Grand! The hotel itself is really beautiful; the guest rooms are stylish yet comfortable; the location downtown is ideal - walking distance to most Nashville attractions, but the shuttle is great too if you don't feel like walking.
Great staff include:
Day Philips at the Front Desk is a ray of sunshine and really made my stay there better. Most desk staff don't recognize you even after weeks and weeks of staying at the hotel - they must see so many faces. Day made a point of knowing my name and was so kind and pleasant and made a great impression. It's little simple things that make all the difference, and Day seems to understand that.
Melvin in the club lounge is a rock star. I used to really look forward to seeing him in the mornings. He does not miss a THING and keeps everything perfect at breakfast - I can't say enough good things about Melvin.
Mary Sy in the club lounge in the evenings always knew my preferred beverage without me even having to tell her - always such a sweetheart and always so nice to talk to. Very personable, diligent, a pleasure to be around.
Steven Diviney in the Library bar is another amazing staff member - he pays attention to what you like and don't, and will make recommendations.
William (Willie?) - who I believe was in site services (housekeeping, repairs? not sure exactly what department but should have been PR) was always a welcome sighting. We shared stories about our grown children and having to set them free. This was timely as it was the first time I've traveled extensively for work and I was missing my daughter. I was grateful for his kindness.
