How to Get There
Unfortunately I was only able to spend one night in this lovely place. My room had an incredible view and I loved the robes! I was here for a training and every meal provided was incredibly fresh and delicious! Every staff I encountered was pleasant and helpful.
I loved my stay at the Loews Vanderbilt! From the moment you step out of your vehicle, you are greeted by the best valet attendants that I have ever had. Check in was very easy and quick. One thing I also love is the chat feature with the staff. If you need anything from shampoo, to a wake up call, you can send a text and staff member replies. I asked for shampoo and conditioner and my text was answered and I had my items at my door all within 5 minutes. I would definitely stay here again.
I would recommend staying here to anyone who asks! The food is great, the beds are so comfortable, and the staff is absolutely incredible. Everything was clean, the rooms are very nice, and the decorations really make you feel like you're in Nashville. I look forward to staying here again next time I'm in town!
I spent about 80 nights in hotels last year and am on pace to do the same this year. Everything from Fairmonts to Super 8s. I can count on one hand the number of stays that were memorable. Loews Vanderbilt is now at the top of the list (okay, maybe second on the list...the Fairmont in Ottawa is literally a CASTLE. They win the memorable category).
To prove I am not biased or being paid off, I start with some criticism: it was very hard to find somewhere in the (standard king) room to put my suitcase while I unpacked it. Also, they haven't yet embraced the overhead lighting trend that has started in many hotels.
Now the good y'all... literally everything else.
No wait to check in. There was apparently a problem with my reservation but it was fixed immediately and with a smile. Lobby was clean and had a great vibe. Elevators may be the fastest I have seen in any hotel. My room was comfortable. Nice, inviting chairs, a good work desk, and crisp bedding. Bathroom was simple and stocked with nice-smelling toiletries - and an amazing hairdryer. I didn't try the provided robes, but the towels were great. I turned the television on once- they seemed to have the standard channels.
My room was spotless the entire week. I loved the "please clean my room" hangtag they use to show housekeeping when you are out. One thing that wasn't bad but sorta weird...
The towel I used as a rug on the bathroom floor was folded and left in the shower instead of replaced (different from most hotels' rule of taking everything you leave on ground). Not a problem but I have not seen that before. The housekeeping staff I encountered in the hallway were always exceedingly polite.
I was there for a conference. The catered meeting food was hands down the best I have ever had. I will dream about the steak that was served in the lunch buffet they gave us.
I did not use the onsite coffee shop or the free car service, but both got rave reviews from people at my meeting. The two onsite restaurants- Ruth's Chris and Mason- were superb.
Great, safe location right at the Vanderbilt campus, and with several quick service restaurants an easy walk from the front door.
A couple of staff members deserve special recognition here. First, the nice man in the gift shop. Loews is lucky to have an employee with such a great attitude. And Karen from social media... I sent in a question on Facebook and got both a quick reply and also a handwritten note and very thoughtful gift from her.
In general, the hotel seems to really embrace feedback/questions/concerns as shown by their 'text if you need anything' policy and by the friendly concierges in the lobby.
Not only would I not hesitate to stay again, I am already looking for an excuse to come back!
The hotel was home base for a convention I was attending. The facility was clean, upscale and relaxing. The room was nicely appointed and very comfortable. The ultimate accolade belongs to the Management team that created an extremely positive customer service environment, at every encounter. The doorman remembered my name throughout the visit. The parking attendant was eager to relieve me of my marketing material and load them in my car. Raven at the front desk offered to print some materials for me. The waitress and bartenders were attentive, friendly and added to a great experience. As if this was not enough, a Ruth Chris Steakhouse was under roof a simple elevator ride downstairs.
