How to Get There
Marita in the Hotel Rest, was amazing friendly and very attentive to our needs.
Also Patricia was very helpful.
Everyone of the staff inc the maintenance man deserves an Awesome Review.
WHAT A GREAT STAFF!!!
Would ABSOLUTELY recommend this hotel!
There for a conference and they excelled but you did pay the price. Ask for outside view on upper floor since the open atrium is noisy with live music in the bar area. Parking is expensive at $42 per day self park.
Chose downtown Hilton for close proximity for my elderly mother that walks with the assistance of a cane. We chose a room on the Hilton Digital Key app that was in the price range of military family with city view, and executive lounge privileges rate. Made reservations 4 months in advance; celebration mother/daughter birthdays.
When checking-in, I asked if the room I chose was available and ready and was told no, but another room around the corner was available. Explained that my elderly mother is losing her eyesight and we specifically wanted to be on the city view side for her to see the lights (we came prepared for the noise by bringing a CPAP machine and ear plugs). We were told that an emergency cleaning request will be submitted and would receive a text when the room was ready. Went out and about and a couple hours later received a text from Ty that our room was available.
Checked-in with Shondra and was then told the room number and it still wasn’t the correct one. We were told again that an emergency cleaning request would be submitted and we would be texted – verified they had our phone number. After an hour, I approached Shondra and explained I was getting concerned about my mother since she had been up since 2:30am and flew 2 flights getting from the Midwest to Nashville. I inquired about the room that was initially offered – even though it was not facing the city view, was told that room was not clean either. I asked then why was I offered the room keys when I was initially checking-in.?.
We sat just off from the front desk at the computer area and no one made any attempts to contact us either text or in person. We waited another hour and a half and were NEVER contacted that our room was ready.
I approached the check-in desk again, and explained the confusion about the room and was handed the correct room keys, no explanation of why we were not contacted. I was asked how we heard about the Hilton, I explained, I chose the hotel based on Trip Advisor’s reviews and that this is my mother’s 75th birthday and my 55th birthday, and wanted to stay downtown since this will be our last time travelling to Nashville due to her poor health…
So, this was our 5th time visiting Nashville and our first time staying downtown; my mother enjoyed several hours of sitting in front of the window at night looking at the bright lights????
A side note: housekeepers were very friendly but do not understand the door placard “privacy”, i.e., cannot speak or understand English.
I gave this review a 2 star simply because the Executive Lounge attendants were super, and we enjoyed both the morning and evening attendants!
