Comfortable stay ... commendable hospitality
Reviewed 2 days ago

I stayed at Howard Plaze Taipei in Apr18. I certainly enjoyed my stay as the hotel offered high level of hospitality, helpful staff, spacious well featured and stocked up rooms, impressive breakfast spread, many restaurants and proximity to many more food and shopping options. Cost slightly on the higher side though, but its worth it.

Good Hotel and Great location
Reviewed 2 weeks ago

This is the second time we have stayed in this hotel and I would certainly stay there again. The hotel is modern and very clean but main reason I keep returning is on both trips we have been able to access our room early. After an overnight flight we arrive at the hotel at 8am and are VERY appreciative to be able to check in early. The staff are also very friendly and nothing is to much trouble .

Nice place to stay

We stayed here for 6 nights in the beginning of April on our holiday in Taiwan. The hotel is nice and clean. The staff are efficient. The buffet breakfast is one of the best, with so many selections to satisfy everyone. The location is great, only about 5 to 10 minutes walk to MRT station, Sogo Department Store. Noted, there are rooms facing the internal central atrium and some facing the external surroundings. Make sure to request the kind of room you wish to have when making a booking. We stayed in both sorts of room . We preferred the room that looks out, so we knew what the weather was like and so on.

Rather dated but good location
Reviewed 1 month ago

I've stayed here multiple times, and the rooms are really starting to look rather dated and in need of a deep clean. The air conditioning doesn't get the room below about 24°C even in spring, and the bed is very hard.
The breakfast is more like a rugby scrum than a relaxing start to the day and on Saturday the bread and pastries were so stale that they were inedible.
The bar staff make a good marguerita (saving grace!!) and it's only a block from Din Tai Fung so you are assured of a good meal...Very friendly and helpful staff too.

Popular with locals and travelers

The Howard Plaza is rather dated but it remains a favourite with locals and travelers alike. It's well located in the eastern section of Taipei, not far from the shopping district and the World Trade Centre. The staff are helpful and it is well-known for its restaurants. some of which are quite inexpensive The Howard Plaza is functional rather than high class, but it is a hotel that serves a purpose.
