Glam it up in Switzerland’s largest city at the fabulous Park Hyatt Zurich, a glass-fronted high-rise situated between the financial district and lakefront. Not only will you be just off the chic shopping street of Bahnhofstrasse, but you’ll also be near the medieval Old Town, an area filled with quaint cobblestone streets, centuries-old cathedrals, restored guild houses, and off-the-scale views.
The lobby’s supersized steel-and-iron Network installation by Swiss artist Martina Vontobel sets the tone for the avant-garde design to follow. All of the polished guest rooms impress with sleek décor, muted neutrals, glass-and-wood artworks and floor-to-ceiling windows. There are also king-size beds, Bang & Olufsen TVs, Nespresso machines, and marble bathrooms.
Post-sightseeing, spend your time sipping artfully mixed cocktails at the bar, sampling specialty meat dishes at the signature restaurant and marveling at the hotel’s 92 unique artworks. There’s also an excellent spa for soul-soothing beauty treatments, a gym with state-of-the-art Technogym equipment, and the option of enjoying a peaceful yoga workout in the privacy of your room.
How to Get There
This may be my favorite city Park Hyatt. The rooms were stunning and exceptionally clean. The service from the front desk to the restaurant was friendly and professional. The location was close to the lake and the old town.
Great place to stay with family. The place is central but the key highlight is the people. The staff is extremely welcoming, supportive and helpful from check in to check out. Highly recommended for sure!!
Four star property priced as a five star. Rooms are nice and modern for a building that has been refit. Location is OK, not great. Concierge could be much, much better. Only one person part time and no depth of knowledge about Zurich restaurant scene. Asked the best thing to do in Zurich, we were told to shop. Nothing about walking tours, hikes, history. Best thing to do here is go over to Bahnofstrasse and blow some money, sir.
