How to Get There
Sat Nav makes the place easy to find as you go through a housing estate which we weren’t expecting so made us question our direction!!lol But it is signposted and trust the Sat Nav!
Building is stunning from the outside and set in lovely gardens.
Small reception which was full when we arrived as there was a wedding going on. Reception staff were efficient and got everyone sorted quickly even allowing us a very early check in!
We had a special lunch event booked. Staff couldn’t have been better from the moment we arrived. Dravos and Paul were just amazing at looking after us all. Even checking if we wanted to start our meal early!! The chef was quite happy to do that! Considering how busy it was, we were touched by that flexibility!
There is a small bar which was over flowing with people but again the staff kept on top of everything and got us served as quickly as they could. We were able to wait for all our guests to arrive in a library room separate to the other party going on.
Our lunch was served in a timely fashion too, no rushing, lots of attention and friendliness from the staff. The food was great. The wine was good too.
We were able to stay in the room all day so had coffee and cake and even later a small supper without having to go anywhere else. Staff kept on checking on us and looking after us! We were very impressed especially as it was so busy!!
Rooms are slightly smaller than you imagine and we had an issue with one room, which they promptly solved by moving us.
The accessible room is not particularly accessible for a wheelchair user. There is no lift so you gain access through the car park and a fire escape door. Inside the room, it’s difficult to get round in a wheelchair but the bathroom was well thought out and had grab handles. No raised toilet. No emergency cord that I could see and the phone was on a desk which was impossible to reach while sitting in a chair. Also the bed is very soft so if you have limited mobility it’s hard to sit down and not slide off and it’s hard to get up from it too. It is only meant to be an accessible room and it’s probably fine for most people requiring a little help.
In summary, well worth a stay. Well worth having a special event there. And absolutely excellent staff who made our stay superb!
Had a lovely relaxing day, the staff on the front desk were friendly and accommodating - one of us had specific dietary requirements and they were able to provide an alternative on the day with no fuss.
The gym/equipment, pool, steam room/sauna were great however the changing room was a little cramped as I had to move in/out of the way for other members to get in and out of their lockers.
The cream tea was lovely, we did have to walk through a section of non-spa customers not in robes which felt a bit awkward and we did have to walk across the car park in our robes to get to the restaurant too which is not ideal.
I had an hour facial/back massage by Amanda who was lovely and did an amazing job, she let me know what products were used so that I could buy them at the front desk.
We thought we’d stay for dinner but wanted to stay relaxed in our robes which we were told would be ok but it did feel a bit awkward around others who were dressed for the evening. We had to go to the bar area to order and walk over to a quieter area but the food was lovely!
Went for an Afternoon Tea party with friends. Booking initially made weeks ago before our big day however the day before when I confirmed our seats, we were told they cannot accommodate us because it’s full and no booking has been made. Not very impressed at all. Have to phone several times plus made an email to the manager as requested by staff. It was a very long process in order for us to get that place.
We have just returned from Frimley Park Hotel after having afternoon tea. The seating was just right very light and not cramped. The tea itself was really lovely and very filling. I would like to give a special mention to Melanie. She was very helpful on the phone when we booked and turned out to be our server for tea. She even rembered I couldn't eat kiwi fruit. She was very professional with a lovely smile.
Friendly and helpful staff, especially after we had a glitch in bookings.
Food at lunchtime was very good.
The highlight was definitely an amazing body massage, facial and Indian Head massage from Amanda - who is a wonderful therapist. After recovering from breast cancer, I found her as a person, sensitive and considerate, who made me feel at ease, really took into account my needs and was excellent delivering my treatments.
