As a guest, you can take trips to smaller islands, such as Koh Phangan, known for its Full Moon parties, or enjoy a snorkeling excursion while island hopping. All tours can be arranged with the resort’s front desk. But if you prefer to simply unwind and enjoy the resort facilities, you can’t go wrong with that option, either. The ultimate island paradise, The Sarann promises a healthy balance of fun and relaxation, perfect for having your Thai beach getaway your way.

Suites and villas

Suites and villas here are expansive, each with its own outdoor Jacuzzi or private infinity pool. They offer a relaxed atmosphere and design, with warm wood and walls tiled with natural stone, all kept cool with a ceiling fan and air conditioning. Each comes with a sheltered patio and spacious bathrooms with lovely, large tubs and separate rain showers.Jacuzzi suites feature a large bedroom and outdoor patio apiece, while Jacuzzi villas are the same size, but detached, with a slatted ceiling and garden views. In the Sea Front Pool villa, you get unobstructed ocean views, dining and sunning decks, a private lawn and a separate living room.

Wild Ginger Restaurant offers a comprehensive mix of both Thai and Western dishes to suit your palate. For a special evening, a private chef for dining in your villa can be arranged, as well.

Warm up your muscles with a session in the resort’s fully equipped fitness center. For something less strenuous, step into the Sarann Spa – try the full-body Thai massage, or one of the spa’s traditional treatments.

The hotel is close to the island’s dining and nightlife area. Transportation can be arranged to various landmarks – or, simply take a tuk tuk to the nearby nightlife area: a whole street full of pubs and street-food spots.

Just what we were looking for

This Place is amazing! we stayed in a beach villa and you really dont need to leave the place beautiful room beautiful view.
The villa is very private and secluded with a bedroom and separate lounge room beautiful shower and tub in the room.
In such a place id change a few things:
The breakfast options were quiet small especially for a place like this and even more so for a vegetarian.
We tried to order breakfast to our room but this is not down which is a shame as we wanted to stay in our villa, and were happy to pay for breakfast to be delivered.
Also as such an amazing establishment id expect fresh juice on the breakfast buffet not packet juice again not a big deal just small things to make this amazing place even better we will be staying again for sure...

Terrible Customer Service
Reviewed 2 days ago

Me and my wife stayed here for 3 nights in June 2018. The hotel was nice and the amenities good. So why the one star? The stay was very nice up until the last day. We had booked the hotel taxi to take us to ‘Bangrak’ Pier for our ferry onto Koh Phangan. We told the lady at reception of our destination to which she told the driver. When getting into the car the driver said a name of a Pier which I did not recognise, I corrected him to ‘Bangrak’ Pier, he nodded in agreement and we set off. He then dropped us off at the wrong Pier, it wasn’t until we went to check in for our ferry, when he had already left that we realised he had taken us to the wrong place. We were forced to miss our pre booked ferry and pay the price for a new ferry. I contacted the hotel several times after the incident explaining what has happened. After their ‘investigation’ they refused to accept any responsibility and continued to blame us for quoting the wrong pier (A Pier we have never heard of, may I point out). They refuse to even apologise, let alone compensate me for their mistake. I would never expect this service from an alleged ‘luxury’ hotel... disgraceful.

Dirty Room, Bad Location, and Terrible Value for Money
Reviewed 1 week ago

The jacuzzi in our villa had dirt and grime in it from past uses without being cleaned. The bathtub in the room had a broken drain. The shower was broken too.

There were finishing nails sticking out of the floorboards that I caught on my feet several times before noticing where they were in the poorly lit room. (Watch out for tetanus folks!)

The restaurant is horribly overpriced for what you get, especially the wine and drinks. Even with the 25% off coupon they give you, expect a solid 2000 Baht for a meal for 2. Breakfast that's included with the room is monotonous and repetitive; the same exact food, served the exact same way, every day. We were sick of it after 2 days, and after four days we were glad to be leaving it behind.

The pool is small, but nice. Twice, however, my wife and I were forced to leave the pool/deck area by maintenance spraying deck stainer everywhere with high wind. The fumes were atrocious, and gave my wife headaches.

The Spa attached to the resort is also a pretty big ripoff. 2900 Baht for 2 people, for an Aloe treatment. Less than 10 minutes away in the shopping districts near The Hungry Wolf there are certified massage businesses that do a better job for cheaper.

Upon checkout, they tried to charge us for a missing umbrella, which was located next to the door. Housekeeping was "unable to find it", and they were going to charge me 1000 Baht for it; I had to run back personally to the room and bring it to the front desk to prove I wasn't trying to steal it. (What the Hell, seriously?) I was almost late for my flight thanks to that gongshow they call checkout.

Value for money was awful. Should have shopped around instead of settling on this one place.

The only positives about this place is their airport transfer driver and their security workers. They were incredibly polite, really helpful, and the security is a nice touch to help you pull out of the resort when on a motorcycle.

Overall? I'd personally say take your hard earned salary elsewhere, and learn from my mistake! 👎

Service makes up for Location

This resort sounds phenomenal in the descriptions when booking, but disappoints when you finally arrive. It’s located right on the ocean, but it doesn’t actually say anything about the beach. That’s because it’s not on the beach. Its located right next to a rocky section of shore. The actual beach is nearby, but it’s filthy, located right next to what looks like a garbage dump. Any beach chairs must be paid for and you will constantly be harassed by roaming salespeople.

The rooms themselves are also a bit disappointing (but only a bit). We took the jacuzzi villa. The tub takes about thirty minutes to fill, and it’s not terrible. However, the room already comes with a huge bath tub, so I kind of regretted taking this room instead of the pool Villa. However, the private pool in those rooms are completely exposed to your neighbours - not very private.

The spa is much too expensive for what you get. When I got my massage, I left with more muscle pain than when I went in. I felt like the woman avoided all the typical areas for muscle knots on purpose.

Finally, they tried to charge us 900baht for an umbrella that was IN THE ROOM. My partner had to run back and get it for them because the cleaner was too blind to see it next to the door.

Despite all of these complaints, the service at this resort was amazing. The airport pickup was efficient, and you are immediately given cold water and a towel to cool your face. When you arrive at the resort you are served fruit juice, and your bags are handled by the staff. They even take you directly to your room and show you all the amenities while you go. Restaurant staff are super attentive and helpful, and everyone always greets you. They also have a man who helps everyone to drive out of the driveway by stopping traffic (he has a flag and whistle), it’s very safe!

If you want to book tours or a vehicle to drive, they have a woman there who can help you out with anything you want, and she is very helpful and friendly.

Best introduction to Thailand!

Fantastic hotel, fantastic location and fantastic service.

Biw and Chai made me feel very welcome, teaching me basic Thai while I had breakfast, constantly smiling (all of the staff). Everyone who worked there was amazing and wanted you to have the best stay.

Would definitely recommend the hotel, room and food amazing, and best part of the island to watch a sunrise.

10/10 thank you guys !
