How to Get There
We (me and my wife) came here for our honeymoon and loved the quiet location (away from the busy tourist areas of Phuket and Koh Samui), the great service provided by the hotel staff, the relaxing/tranquil ambience of the resort (including our room's 1 min walk's proximity to the beach), and the proximity to a local town (which had a wide selection of amazing places to experience local cuisine).
I've given 3 stars for the value as the pricing is more aligned to the economy of Australia/UK rather than Thailand (e.g. room price was equal to a suite in Australia/UK, whereas the equivalent in Thailand should be a lot cheaper given the economic differences) however we really enjoyed our experience otherwise.
We stayed in the Anantara resort for four nights. The rooms were spotlessly clean, the staff extremely friendly and the facilities great. The resort is right on the beach so you have a choice to lie by the pool or on the beach. There is a gorgeous little village just behind the resort with great food, drinks and massages for equally great prices. The food and drinks in the hotel are considerably more expensive so would definitely recommend the village behind the hotel. There is Apple TV, a small pool, daily treats dropped into the room every evening on turn down and complimentary spirits (vodka, gin and whiskey) all very nice touches that do not go unnoticed. All in all we had a fantastic experience in the Anantara resort and would definitely return.
We had two rooms one directly on the beach and another on the secondfloor. The rooms were wonderful and the grounds are amazing. They do a great job of mixing the resort within the surrounding landscape. Breakfast was good but not excellent. The staff was generally ok but expected a bit more friendlier service. What is great is there is a little village right next door to the property and has everything you could want form food, massages, street food, laundry etc. Very convenient. The beach is very nice and generally the staff was friendly.
We first stayed here last year and vowed to return, so much we enjoyed it
And so, after a very long journey with delayed flights and missed connections we stepped aboard the speedboat to paradise! It was a calm journey fuelled by complimentary fizz which got us off to the start of our week properly.
We were greeted on the beach and taken directly to our villa.
Once again we had booked an Ocean Pool Villa and we simply relaxed with a drink, just listening to the sound of the waves, as it was now 10.30 at night.
Breakfasts by the beach were lovely with a great choice and either buffet or cooked food served to your table and a wide range of tea and coffee, just wander up barefoot and sink your toes into the sand!
We didn't have dinner here but went into the village a couple of times or walked left down the beach where there are several lovely little places right on the beach. Sand in my Shoes was our favourite here and Star Hut in the village.
This really is a beautiful and tranquil place and the staff here are all exceptional.
It's been 2 years, we worked so hard and rarely found time for vacation. During Songkarn, kind of holiday in Thailand, we decided to go Koh Phangan and stayed at Anantara Rasananda. Our first step into the hotel, it was amazing view front of me,white sand and really clear blue sea. Dont even it was summer time but i wasn't feel that so much hot(actually I feel in Bangkok wis hotter). At the reception, staff was really helped and gave us all info and took us walked around before took us to the room. While we were there all the staffs very polite and greeting with their smile on the faces all the time when we walked by.
Food?, we had dinner at Japanese food and bbq at the hotel. Nothing for complaining aboout.it was excellent.
Drink?, they had happy hour at the pool bar then i tried the local cocktail (like whiskey sour with the local whiskey). I think it wasnt that bad at all, well balance.
Finally, I dont want to speak much. It's a perfect hotel in Koh Phangan, I really recommend. ❤
