What We Love
- Pretty people and stellar drinks at The Gold Bar
- The central location on a lovely town square makes accessing the city a breeze
- The lobby coffee bar, a classic slice of European café culture
- Sleek and immaculately furnished, the rooms are big, bright and achingly hip
- Hotel concierges are resourceful and efficient
What To Know
- The hot-spot bar gets busy on weekends; request a room on a high floor or facing the square for a bit more peace and quiet
- No spa, but the hotel can organize treatments at nearby spas
- The in-house restaurant, Caina, is in the basement and not the most picturesque
- Stockholm is expensive; skip the cab from the airport and opt for the train – it’s faster and drops you a 10-minute walk from the hotel
- Free WiFi
- Parking On Site

How to Get There
Let me start with the only bad. The single rooms are the smallest hotels rooms that I have seen through 50 years of travel in 50 different countries. Literally, I have had cabins on a cruise ship twice the size. It was a modern room with all necessary amenities but the wardrobe was so tiny that it only held 4 coat hangers. The room was no more thn 7-8 feet wide and about 12 feet long. The bathroom was cozy to say the least. Now keep in mind, this is a 5 star hotel, but I would strongly discourage booking the single room - SERIOUSLY discourage it.
Now for all of the good: great hotel staff, very nice and meticulously clean, modern, phenomenal breakfast, great location, reasonable price. I loved the location and will definitely stay here again, BUT I will definitely pay the extra $ to get a normal size hotel room. My thanks to the staff here and especially for packing me a breakfast bag for my early (4:00 a.m.) departure day. Thank you
I truly enjoyed my 3 day stay at the Nobis. 1) Great location: in the middle of a posh shopping district and walkable to most major sights. 2) Super clean: one of the cleanest hotels I’ve ever been in. 3) Amazing breakfast buffet: included with stay. 4) Restaurants: several restaurants/ lounges on property serving tasty fare. 5) Staff: super friendly, willing to help anyway they can. 6) History: this building was apparently once the bank where the robbery happened that coined the term “Stockholm Syndrome”. Couldn’t recommend more!
As everyone has mentioned, the hotel is in a wonderfully central spot and in our 4 days we were able to walk everywhere which is the perfect way to visit a city, even one this large. The staff couldn't be more helpful and charming. A lot of thought went into the design and renovation of this lovely old building and although the rooms aren't huge, they feel spacious. Also, best shower during our 5 weeks in Scandinavia.
We stayed at Nobis for 3 nights in the end of May and had a great time in Stockholm! Nice building, very good location, walking distance from everything important. We had a nice room, 1st floor, faceing the main square (we got at first a courtyard view, but we changed it): big enough, a combination of minimalist and comfortable, the bathroom a little bit poorly designed for a 5* in my opinion. I suggest to go at least for a Double Deluxe with a view, upper floor (if the noise can be an issue), I understood from my friends that the Standard room is not so big for a 5*. Breakfast was ok, the bar and lounge area are very nice. Overall a nice hotel, staff friendly (a little bit slow-moving at reception), clean and a great location!
We arrived in Stockholm on a Sunday and departed on the following Wednesday. Way too short for such a great city! The Nobis Hotel was definitely the best choice as far as location was concerned, but they also went over and above to be helpful and friendly. I had emailed them in advance with questions about restaurants and ground transportation from the airport. They responded within 24 hours. Once we got there, they were more than willing to offer suggestions and to explain public transportation. The room was spotless and comfortable. The breakfast was outstanding, also with friendly, helpful staff. We would definitely stay there again. It was an excellent choice.
