Beautiful and interesting hotel as far as architecture, art and theater.
Food was very good as well as the service.
Interesting tour in the morning of the hotel's history and architecture, art etc
Nice spa, very good massage.
Outdoor pool is beautiful but was not open during our stay. The indoor pool was very small but sufficient for laps.

Wonderful surprise

Mixed Up Hotel
Reviewed 3 weeks ago

My wife and I just checked into the Elma Hotel, which claims to be a 5 star establishment. It could be, but there are just so many issues that need fixing. Our room could be beautiful but when the walls were repainted the painter got white paint on the wood furnishings. The shelving in the shower stall has been removed so soap and shampoo must be put on the floor. The bathrobe was torn and stained and the worst mistake was the tub which is artificially placed too high so when I stepped in my knee hit the top of the rim of the tub causing a large bloody gash in my leg. As it’s Saturday evening and pouring outside we decided to eat at the hotel restaurant. The hostess speaks no English and told us that as we did not have reservations there might not be enough food so they couldn’t serve us and she directed us to the ersatz mini bar area so we could order off their limited menu.

Stay away

Insane price for standard room just to understand it’s in remote place near the parking not close to the hotel itself. Upgrading cost 250 NIS more just for a basic room in the hotel itself without a bath tub and every door closure in the corridor sounds like a huge boom in this Deluxe room.
Breakfast was terrible - nothing was fresh and needed to stay all night at the restroom.

Do your self a favor - stay away from this hideous place

A unique hotel with local history and great art work

Stayed for one night wirh my husband. We took the standard room which is a good sized room with a nice veranda, big bed and a very comfortable bathroom.
We attended a show that was held in the elegant concert hall .
The breakfast was included and was very good. We took the (free) inspiration tour with the enthuastic Flori. Its a must for any guest as it gives a perspective and knowledge on the unique building and the great work that was done to restore it. We had the best time and will certainly try to come back.
