Like its own self-contained village, this imposing four-story resort on Lake Okanagan aims to please golfers, oenophiles, and boating enthusiasts. Choose from one, two, and three-bedroom condo-style suites, all of which offer perks like private balconies and wine fridges. The Spa at the Cove uses Aveda products in an array of treatments ranging from hot stone massages to tourmaline-charged microdermabrasion facials. Tuck into burgers loaded with everything from mushrooms to olive tapenade at the casual lakeside restaurant Bonfire–which also offers appealing vegetarian selections and a lovely wine list.
In the Area
See if you’re up to par at one of the quality golf courses nearby, like Two Eagles, with its inspiring views of rolling hills and Okanagan Lake, and then head off to taste some of the region’s wines, which are rapidly gaining a stellar global reputation. Cedar Creek Estate Winery is a wonderfully situated estate with incredible views that specializes in German varietals like Riesling, Gewürztraminer, and Ehrenfelser. On the way back to the resort, drop by slightly more humble but no less impressive Kalala Wines, known for their organic chardonnay and ice wines.
How to Get There
The cove Lakeside Resort was even better than we expected. We were there to attend a wedding.
I would definitely return to the resort for a family trip. The service was excellent. We definitely have no complaints. The 1 bedroom suite had everything we needed. The only regret is that we didn't take a lake view
Stayed here 3 nights before continuing on to Banff. The location on the lake is beautiful. Nice trails to walk along the lake. The one bedroom suite was spacious and nicely appointed. The extra half bath and w/d were convenient. The kitchen is well furnished with large fridge. Dishes, glasses, utensils, everything provided. Only 10 minutes to restaurants in town.
My wife and I went here for our 25th anniversary. We were blown away by how beautiful it was. The suite was great with a huge patio that we could directly access the pool and beach area. The food at Bonfire was very good. The grounds were immaculate. The people were very caring.
Beautiful resort. amazing suites. excellent service and attention to detail. should have a shuttle from the airport as the cost is extreme and the location away from amenities for shopping is not in walking distance.
The mattress quality was not good. The sofa bed was terrible. We had breakfast in the room. We had 4 orders and 2 of them were wrong. Also the food was cold. We expected much better. The room didn’t get cleaned after the first night.
