Perfect Location

This hotel is located in Weehawken, NJ. Last exit before Lincoln tunnel. Easy to find. Gas/diesel station across the road. Lots of restaurants. Great Chinese delivered.Accommadates oversized vehicles for a fee. Plenty of parking. Right next to ferry to NYC. Goes to 39th St. In city. $21 for round trip. Kicker is, in NYC, there’s free shuttles. That’s worth it right there.
Staff are super. Outside security. Stunning view of NYC.
I’d definitely stay again.

Maintenance Issues
Reviewed 1 week ago

Overall this hotel has some really good points. The rooms are really comfortable with great beds and fantastic views. Bathrooms are really clean and modern.

After staying at this hotel a few times it’s clear there is a non existent maintenance budget. In every room I ve stayed the sink in the bathroom never drains and tv remote rarely works. My biggest issue with maintenance here is the gym. I like to workout when I travel but it is nearly impossible here. Even after reporting the issue to maintenance on each occasion nothing gets fixed. On my most recent stay the cable machine is now completely broken and unusable. Not even a sign on it indicating it’s status. Please just sort out the gym it let’s your hotel down and is totally unacceptable.

Great stay for NYC!

We stayed in Weehawken so we could avoid the bridges, tolls and traffic in New York City. The Sheraton is a great hotel, right on the harbor. We purchased ferry tickets right at the hotel and took the ferry into the city. Very easy in and out of the city. Once we were in the city and saw all the crazy traffic we knew we had made the right decision.

Great views and values

I stayed at this hotel several months (except over most of the weekend), and had mixed feelings. Overall, this is a decent place as you can get the best NYC city view including watching July 4th fireworks show and avoid the noise as it is across the river of Manhattan.

Views and values - this place has unbeatable views, and it is so much cheaper than any of the Time Squares hotels. e.g., when Westin TSQ charged $500+, this place costs <$300. It is also close to the cliff and is a perfect place for runners who can run along the Hudson rivers

Services - after staying at the hotel for a few weeks, the hotel staff made efforts to learn my name, preferences, etc and made my life easier as all I wanted was a quiet room with good views and minimum interruptions. But when the IT system merge between SPG and Marriott happened on August 18th, the hotel really struggled to handle the slowness of Marriott IT support to add points to my account.

Room - the room was usually very clean; out of my 20+ stays, I had overall good experiences except three occasions: first, when I had to stay at a lower floor right on the top of the restaurant, I found a bug in my bed when I woke up; second, for one stay, my preferred room was filled with disinfectant smell; third, for one stay, the assigned room had all towers with the sweaty disgusting smell.

Facilities - The gym equipment is very old and fragile, and you can feel the hotel has been there for a long time.

Lounge - it has some very basic choices for breakfast and snacks at dinner time but has good views. I stopped eating there as I preferred to have more fruit choices, but I occasionally dropped by for soft drinks. The hotel also hosted a special meal on July 4th to celebrate the Independence Day.

First time and last time

I didn’t need could be spiteful. This is my experience at the Sheraton link. I was greeted by friendly and professional receptionist. But here is were my impression turned into disappointment. At a higher then competitive hotel I expected excellence. But that wasn’t the case.
Dated entrance
Dated interior
High price
All that would’ve been accepted but then on top of it you add a charge for both parking and internet.
When I reached to the reception to get the pass word and he reaffirmed that the internet is an additional $10 a night
How gritty. I said
He agreed and said that he doesn’t understand why they do it. Since it get a very disappointed reaction.
Like I wrote at the heading
