The Lowdown

Nestled among olive groves in Vounaria, Greece, the five-star Camvillia Resort is an oasis that lies on the stunning Messinian Gulf, with views of the Taygetos mountain range. Only 400 metres from the crystal blue waters of Peroulia Beach, this boutique gem is the ultimate destination for switching off beneath the sun and transforming yourself into a Greek god or goddess by the pool, at the spa, and beyond. It’s no wonder Camvillia snagged a TripAdvisor Certificate of Excellence.
Modern and relaxed, this is a comfortable base to soak up Greece’s charming old-world character. Rooms are bright and airy, with plenty of thoughtful flourishes and a calming Grecian decor. Take a dip in the beautiful infinity swimming pool, relax on a sun lounger with a book, enjoy a rejuvenating massage at the spa, and simply drink in the natural wonder all around you.
If you choose to add on car hire, launch off to the nearby picturesque seaside village of Koroni for the day, and be sure to order some fresh fish at one of the waterside tavernas.

Amazing relaxing Hotel!

From the moment we arrived we were looked after wonderfully. We had our 12 month year old baby with us and all the staff were so helpful and kind with her. The lady with the long dark hair who showed us to our room was amazing during our whole stay (I feel awful that I can't recall her name now, she was possibly the manager I think). She always made sure we had everything we needed without being intrusive, a perfect balance, thank you so much for making Luna's holiday. The views are as good as all the pics show, if not better. The rooms are gorgeous and relaxing with everything you need and nice toiletrys. Our little girl had a real cot with lovely bedding to sleep in rather than a travel cot so she slept much better. The beach is in easy walking distance but down a steep hill,Gerry the friendly driver can drop or pick you up if you don't fancy the exercise. There were 3 nice bar/restaurants at the beach for lunch with lovely fresh Greek food at reasonable prices. There isn't much in the village but still nice for a little wander with friendly locals.
Back at the hotel all areas were clean and beautifully kept. The bar area was relaxing and spacious, the barman George was delightful and looked after us really well helping us to select which local drinks to sample :-) . The spa was also amazing. The food was nice but the only thing I would like to see in the future would be more authentic vegetarian main courses however saying that the pasta and risotto I had were both very tasty. I would return to Camvillia in a heartbeat, thank you so much for an amazing stay. Xx

Camvillia is a very well-tended, clean, peaceful and beautiful resort with very friendly and welcoming staff.
It has its own small private beach a short distance away from the hotel itself (hotel transport takes you there). On site, there is the infinity pool with views of the sea and distant mountains.
Rooms are clean and uncluttered.
Restuarant serves delicious Greek Breakfasts followed by excellent cuisine later in the day.
Ideal relaxation resort.
Highly recommended

Best hotel we have stayed at, amazing!

Having stayed at another 5* hotel in the Messinian Bay Area, I can honestly say this is worth far more than 5*, the facilities, food, rooms, pools...and service...are impeccable.
We were lucky enough to stay in the junior suite which was huge and totally gorgeous. Double size room and balcony, with a fantastic bathroom, the most enormous bed we have ever seen, and room to dance in! Shared pool, which we didn’t use much because we just loved the infinity pool for its views over the bay. Breakfast was great, loads of varieties of food both sweet and savoury, and made to order omelettes, pancakes, crepes. Freshly squeezed orange juice, cakes...sooooo much food! Dinner was also lovely, and made especially memorable due to the location of the restaurant and the view.
The icing on the cake though is the attitude and goodwill of the staff. We were looked after so well, they were kind and helpful and attentive, we couldn’t fault anyone. They seemed genuinely happy to be working there and nothing was too much trouble. Andress will even take you up and down the resort on the golf buggy!
The surrounding area is lovely, beach is a few minutes away with a free shuttle run from the hotel.
I could write a whole book about how good this hotel is, we felt like celebrities staying here. Will definitely be back.
