How to Get There
Hotel is very modern. The best thing about this hotel is the breakfast. The selection is not huge but everything was high quality. You can have fresh squeezed orange juice, fresh made eggs and a buffet of goodies. Coffee is really good too. They also gave us complimentary drink at the wine shop next door. Located in a small town. Nothing was open except for the hotel and wine shop when we were there. Would recommend it if you are looking for a hotel in the area.
My friend and I liked the outside of this hotel. However, the inside was not impressive. If you are into industrial looking rooms with dimly lit rooms with floors that hides dirt, and no privacy (there’s no coverage for the shower room (this is the perfect place). When you shower, the curtains must be down and unless you are a couple, when one person showers the other has the stay still on the bed. I expected modern to be brightly lit. The floors were not spotless but the gray concrete covers a lot of dirt and the sofa doesn’t look clean-I’m not sure if that’s intentional. The major reason I’m giving it a 1 is not the decor. When we checked in, we asked about the wine tour and the lady at the front desk verified what we read from the website, just come 15 minutes before the tour. The next morning after breakfast, we went to the front desk and there wasn’t a group of people and the guy said the group left about an hour earlier. I can understand if there’s not enough people, then the front desk should’ve said it depends on the amount of people. Up to now, I’m still upset, as a hotel, the answer should’ve been the same. If we needed to book a tour, this should’ve been done when we asked and if no prior booking is needed, then we should’ve been told a specific time to be by the front desk. None of the people at the front desk were friendly either. I do want to point out that the restaurant is excellent though but the rating is solely for the hotel itself.
Tucked away in a small village this is difficult to find but worth the effort. stunning architecture and fit out, nice service, good bar, great restaurant. Good jumping off point for many wineries too.
Very modern, cool hotel in a cozy Rioja town. Great service, great location, good breakfast, reasonable price. Hard to ask for more! Ate in the restaurant and that was good too. A bit of noise at night as you’re right in the middle of town, but it quiets down quickly. And there’s very scenic farm roads to hike thru the vineyards right out the door - good for working off a bit of the tempranillo from the night before! Highly recommended.
Sadly I didn’t get to stay but the menu del día of fresh hake with a summer salad was out of this world! Located in pure tranquility & heaven on earth! The room that I saw on my visit was well from finished, some with private terraces
