How to Get There
I stayed here for 3 nights after spending a lot of time researching. I chose this basically as it was the only hotel with modern stylish rooms whilst still having some cave rooms.
The rooms are as you imagine from the pictures , very modern and neatly appointed. The terrace and gardens by the restaurant are the show piece, amazing views over the caves in Uchisar, it’s by far the best feature in the hotel. Service was also great, very homely considering there were only 11 rooms, and when we were there I think there were only 3 or 4 rooms max occupied. The restaurant staff were very friendly , super helpful and happy.
Check in was seamless. swift and was efficient. There was a couple of mishaps with the restaurant forgetting my fries twice with two different meals which you wouldn’t expect since we were literally the only ones at dinner.
One morning I went up at 5:30 and you get magical views of the hot air balloons at sunrise, fantastic for pics and just a surreal setting. I loved the privacy of it all too. The popular museum hotel is next door and whilst being charming and great for dinner, it’s a bit packed in comparison, so less private. They don’t have a pool which would have been ideal but they are building one very soon, which will be an awesome edition.
The only thing I was disappointed with was not getting an upgrade for a room, considering they were so empty it would have been nice, I did ask but was told it would be an extra 100 euros extra per night, which didn’t seem worth it. The hotel is also probably the most expensive in Uchisar which I get but not sure it’s that far ahead of its competition service wise and lacks a bit of atmosphere too compared to nearby Museum and Argos hotel, both lovely and worth having dinner at.
Overall I think this is an amazing property and probably the only modern contemporary hotel in the city. However it is a little expensive and at times desolate , which could just be the time we visited but I would recommend staying here.
Stayed at Ariana in June 2018 and came back enchanted with the hotel and destination. The property offers a sophisticated and relax atmosphere at the same time. Rooms and common areas are beautiful and with an amazing deccor. Staff is very friendly and attentive. The Plum restaurant with great food and delicious a la carte breakfast. The views with the ballons flying early morning are unforgettable! Hope to come back soon and definitely indicate to all my friends :)
We stayed this property with my Family and enjoyed very much, Suites are high end and decorated beautiful, amenities and room quality is excellent, service was very detail. The property located on a hill with great view of the Cappadocia and hot air ballons every morning, property has also vineyard and enjoyed food from its fine dining restaurant the Plum.
We stayed at Ariana Sustainable Luxury Lodge during a four-day visit to Cappadochia. However high our expectations were, the hotel far exceeded them! The desk manager greeted us with champagne on arrival, and in the room we had a fruit tray with complimentary Cappadochian wine and waters. The room itself was luxuriously furnished, and formed from an old cave, which made our stay all the more exciting. The balcony had a wonderful view of the sunrise looking out into Pigeon Valley (full of ancient dwellings and greenery) and at night, it was beautiful to look out at the lights from Goreme. Perhaps the nicest thing about this hotel is that it's a boutique hotel with only 11 rooms, so you never run a risk of too much noise or slow service. We went to the neighboring Museum Hotel one evening for drinks and were immensely dissatisfied - it was so crowded and the service so slow that we contemplated leaving just to go back to what we knew would be an excellent experience at Ariana's restaurant!
Which is to mention Ariana's resutaurant, The Plum. The food here was amazing - every day, multiple courses for breakfast - and the restaurant chef (Vehbi Yavuz) invented delicious smoothies every morning for us to sample. Most of their ingredients come from their garden, located just underneath the restaurant's patio. The staff mentioned plans for an upcoming vineyard as well, an exciting addition!
The lodge is superb with extremely friendly and attentive staff and outstanding views. The staff are always there to help and nothing is ever a problem to them. The team helped us to source a nearby Hammam to visit. Jamal was a great host.
The restaurant and food was so flavoursome and always served with a smile and attention to detail. The breakfast consisted of a few courses, pastries, bread, jams, fruit, cooked breakfast of your choice off the menu and fresh juice, teas and coffee. Dinner is locally inspired food full of flavour.
We stayed in the cave room. The room was an amazing experience to stay in a cave and was clean, welcoming and well laid out. The beds were always made with a small pattern in the sheets that reflects the lodges attention to detail. The rooms also have high end finishes immersing you in complete luxury.
The views from the lodge are incredible and the wakeup call to see the balloons in the morning was certainly a highlight and a tick off the bucket list. Thank you for giving us this opportunity.
Would highly recommend this hotel and hope to be back in the future.
