How to Get There
This is a magnificent find, close enough to vibrant Cannes (about 20 min drive) for nightlife, shopping and sightseeing but tucked away so you can truly chill out. We stayed in a fantastic sea view junior suite and was right up there as one of the best rooms we have stayed in.
Right from the initial welcome with a drink on the terrace to our departure, the service has been first class. The food is superb and at a level you would hope for in a Hotel of this quality.
The views from the rooms are spectacular, check out the picture from the infinity pool.
Sure it’s expensive (hunt around for deal - particularly off season as we did), but sometimes you have to say you’re worth it!
We visited the Tiara Yaksa at the end of the season when the hotel was pretty quiet. We had a lovely, comfortable room with a tremendous view of the Mediterranean Sea and the mountains. The hotel was perfect in location for our purpose: we cycled to Saint-Raphaël and to Saint-Tropez along a gorgeous coastline.
The restaurant was excellent in cuisine and service. In fact, all of the hotel staff was terrific: friendly, helpful and attentive.
We had some difficulty finding the hotel, but enjoyed the hills and scenery on the way. Massive amounts of cyclists on the narrow roads. Simply breathtaking views on the coastal road. Upon arrival, we were whisked to the beautiful outdoor terrace and given a drink of our choice. Our car and bags were delivered while we soaked in the views. A staff member escorted us to our room, which was upgraded to a suite 06. The room was magnificent with a balcony. It was not a beach day, so the day beds right off our balcony were vacant. The staff are pleasant and attentive. The dinner on the terrace was delicious with excellent service. The hotel is perfect for a romantic getaway. It is a drive or boat shuttle away from other activities.
Overall great location, rooms on the ground floor are noisy though, we had room 6 which was an upgrade to a suite but instead we had people looking in our room all the time from going to the pool, or hanging in the day beds. We also had a lot of noise from the cleaners room being right next to us, and they talk loudly from the early morning. The restaurant is right next door also of which noise comes from this till later at night. Not an ideal room location, especially when they host an evening party in the restaurant for an external event.
The pool is amazing, the day beds great and view and location is stunning.
Improvements to get a better rating from us would be :-
- A welcome glass of champagne would be better than juice or water.
- Early Notification of when a large party is going to be on and noisy, and an offer of a room change from being right next door, or a discount.
- More vegetarian or vegan food options on the menu for breakfast, lunch and dinner.
Overall a good quality small hotel in an amazingly beautiful location.
We stayed two nights at the Tiara and enjoyed every minute.
What a site it was to see the morning sun come up over the sea from our window.
Food was great, service was pleasant, and the shuttle to the beachside sister hotel is convenient.
I'd highly recommend this hotel and would stay again.
