How to Get There
We had some difficulty finding the hotel, but enjoyed the hills and scenery on the way. Massive amounts of cyclists on the narrow roads. Simply breathtaking views on the coastal road. Upon arrival, we were whisked to the beautiful outdoor terrace and given a drink of our choice. Our car and bags were delivered while we soaked in the views. A staff member escorted us to our room, which was upgraded to a suite 06. The room was magnificent with a balcony. It was not a beach day, so the day beds right off our balcony were vacant. The staff are pleasant and attentive. The dinner on the terrace was delicious with excellent service. The hotel is perfect for a romantic getaway. It is a drive or boat shuttle away from other activities.
Overall great location, rooms on the ground floor are noisy though, we had room 6 which was an upgrade to a suite but instead we had people looking in our room all the time from going to the pool, or hanging in the day beds. We also had a lot of noise from the cleaners room being right next to us, and they talk loudly from the early morning. The restaurant is right next door also of which noise comes from this till later at night. Not an ideal room location, especially when they host an evening party in the restaurant for an external event.
The pool is amazing, the day beds great and view and location is stunning.
Improvements to get a better rating from us would be :-
- A welcome glass of champagne would be better than juice or water.
- Early Notification of when a large party is going to be on and noisy, and an offer of a room change from being right next door, or a discount.
- More vegetarian or vegan food options on the menu for breakfast, lunch and dinner.
Overall a good quality small hotel in an amazingly beautiful location.
We stayed two nights at the Tiara and enjoyed every minute.
What a site it was to see the morning sun come up over the sea from our window.
Food was great, service was pleasant, and the shuttle to the beachside sister hotel is convenient.
I'd highly recommend this hotel and would stay again.
We didn't realize until after our booking that he hotel was about 30 minutes outside of Cannes...but after the first day there we realized it was indeed a blessing in disguise...Cannes is busy during the summer season but Tiara Yaktsa is a beautiful gem of a boutique hotel with SPECTACULAR views...
They upgraded us to a room that looked over the sea and it was uber romantic! We will definitely be returning!
Travel Tips: If you're staying longer than a day or two rent a car to drive locally..dont drive to St Tropez or Monaco ( ake a tour or a ferry..the roads are steep and narrow) ..or take a taxi (approx 20 Euros) to the train station from the hotel and for approx 3 Euros you'll be in the heart of Cannes in less than 10 minutes ...otherwise 65 Euros (House car mercedes) and 30 mins to hour later you be there... If you're looking to explore, take a day trip to Monaco or St Tropez..be mindful of the ferry operating days and times (when we were there the ferry didn't run from St Tropez back to Cannes on the day we needed to be at the airport so we hired a car to take us from St Tropez to the Nice airport...a bit expensive but worth it!
Not a lot of options for food ..the hotel meals were delicious but you wont have access to such else outside of the marina and their sister property.
Overall it was a FANTASTIC experience the front desk staff were all simply AMAZING and they even sent my husband's sunglasses to us after we left them in the lobby on our last day! HIGHLY recommend
We did not want the rush, hustle and bustle of Cannes and Nice, Côte d’Azur just appeared to offer a lovely retreat from that. We were not wrong and so pleased we came across Hotel Tiara Yaktsa. A small hotel offering a personalised service, all the staff were very friendly and welcoming.
If you want a more lively hotel, ie more people and not such a great service, Yaktsa have a sister hotel down the road which as a guest you have assess to their restaurant and spa via a free buggy service.
The pool at Yaktsa is perfect with an infinity view across into the sea, pool service was fanatic and a special mention to Edna whom looked after us with the greatest attention during our stay, she is a credit to the hotel, lovely lady and very attentive.
Our room was fantastic and views amazing with sea views. The bedroom facilities were very good, the bed very comfortable. We were welcomed with chocolates and flowers on arrival and a note from the manager, such a lovely touch.
We really enjoyed our stay here, although only two days, we wished we had stayed longer. We will certainly return soon.
