How to Get There
We originally stayed here in 2013 when it was called Elements Boutique Resort and Spa which has since changed hands.
Elements was very good and the standards now are way above what was already very good!
At this time the hotel has limited occupancy during the works in preparation for a relaunch in December. It was very quiet during our stay but this was certainly not a problem.
Nothing was too much for the team here. Cindy the Manager even located a music school prior to our arrival for our son to practice piano while on the island.
Although we spent the the bulk of our time out of the hotel it was a great place to come back to and wake up in. The facilities are very good and I really can’t think of anything we were lacking. The gym is well equipped, the main pool was good and considering the TripAdvisor reviews I read I think the beach is fine will be a fantastic place to relax once the resort is fully operational.
Reading reviews I understood there was building work being carried out.
Cindy assured me it did not affect the resort however, she did express that she did not want me to be disappointed.
If I’m honest, had I not been made aware building work was happening I would not have known. Being a building designer myself I am perfectly aware of how disturbing it could have been. I need not have been the least bit concerned even though Cindy tried to manage my expectations ahead of arrival.
On our arrival we were pleasantly surprised to find we had been upgraded to a suite with a pool which was fantastic!
Breakfast choices and quality were very good. The menu for other meals and quality were also very good.
My wife assures me the cocktails were very good also. (I don’t drink)
Whilst the hotel is located in the quieter Southern part of the island I like this and would not wish to stay in the busier parts.
Anyone thinking of booking this hotel should not hesitate I fail to see how you could be disappointed.
We will definitely be coming back and I would not think of staying anywhere else.
Cindy thank you and your team for everything and we wish you every success with the Grand Launch in December and going forward.
I spent a few days short break here. The hotel staff are extremely welcoming and friendly. Nothing is too much trouble for them. They are always happy to help and advise. The rooms - very comfortable and relaxing.I had a room with a plunge pool. I would highly recommend this room as it's not every day you get to have your own private pool! Food - wonderful. A really great selection of healthy food options! I left the hotel feeling recharged, rested and extremely relaxed. A big thank you to Cindy and her team for the superb welcome and service. I am looking forward to returning in the near future.
From the moment we arrived, nothing but relaxing. The room was awesome! The staff was awesome! The prices in the hotels restaurant in were fair. The beach is not that great but we had a beautiful view of it from our room. If I go back to Koh Samui, I would stay here again!
I stayed in Samui for a month in summer, at several different hotels in different locations on the island.
Pros: The hotel was only about 7 months old when I stayed (I think!), so everything was shiny and new. The room was large, the bed comfy, and I especially liked the shower. I was put in a room on the 2nd floor, with a view of the sea in the distance beyond the palm trees - it was a beautiful view. I was there to relax, so enjoyed sitting on the balcony with my book, or next to the pool. The staff were friendly. There were lots of room choices available, including the private pool rooms. Breakfast was nice.
Cons: I found the hotel a bit pretentious, which is just not to my taste, but would obviously suit others. For example, when I checked in they said they wanted to take my photo for their 'guest memory board' - I politely declined, my holiday is about ME, not your hotel. Similarly, I found the food rather pretentious - a Thai green curry with no vegetables in it, for example - I preferred the food everywhere on the island (apart from the breakfast). I also found it ironic that the hotel proudly proclaims to be part of a recycling initiative (there was something at reception about using a reusable water bottle instead of a plastic one), while their restaurant is actually quite wasteful; e.g. they give you a complimentary fruit platter at breakfast even if you've ordered a fruit dish (I can't eat that much pineapple!), and they give you little bowls with the condiments in, rather than sachets so you can choose how much to use.
Overall, it was a nice hotel, just not the place for me.
My husband and I stayed here for 12 nights.
From the moment we got there it felt so relaxing and the staff are all amazing.
There is building work going on but honestly it didn't bother us nor did we hear too much.
We had a pool villa and that was spectacular.
Everyday we used the big pool and it was always lovely and clean.
I did hear some guests complaining to us that it was too remote. We chose it for this reason but the resort do a daily complimentary shuttle to Lamai and Chaweng everyday. They also have free good quality bikes you can use to explore on, we used these on multiple occasions.
Will definitely be coming back to stay here at some stage in the future.
