Reviews
Me and my husband, with some family members stayed at Taal Vista Hotel in Tagaytay on Aug 13-14, 2019. It’s beautifully located overlooking Taal Lake, and with a number of restaurants nearby. The themepark Skyranch is walking distance.
Check in was smooth and easy. The hotel personnel who checked us in (forgot his name) was polite and efficient. He showed us the rooms so we can check them out before he proceeded to book them for us. He called up a spa personnel to attend to us by the spa desk in the lobby (there was nobody there initially) when I asked how to book for massage treatments.
Our room was spacious enough, the toilet/bathroom was clean. The sliding door by the balcony doesn’t close well, though. The room doesn’t have a good noise-reduction built as we were hearing the loud noises of the occupants in another room/floor balcony that kept us awake in the evening. Housekeeping, as well as needed room assistance was, sadly, really slow. We have had occasions that we had to call because we broke a bottle of drinks that we bought, we needed some toiletries, and the television/satellite wasn’t working. Unfortunately, we had to wait quite a while, sometimes did follow-up phone calls too.
I do appreciate the efforts of the security for keeping an eye on our car parked at the open parking lot. We accidentally left one of the windows a few inches rolled down and they had to watch over it all through the night to ensure its safety.
Breakfast was good, with a number of choices. There was a trio of musicians serenading the people table by table. I thought that was a nice touch.
The hotel grounds was pretty with flowers and photobooth-style spots. And the view of the lake is really one for photo op.
All in all, it was still a good overnight stay, and I would still recommend this hotel.
Had a memorable stay at Taal Vista Hotel with friends from Singapore attending a wedding at the Chapel on the hill top Caleruega Church about an hour drive here. The souvenir shop called Kultura came in handy and had quite a few selections of gifts if you had crunch time looking gifts for you friends. The staff here are very courteous & friendly. Rooms are very clean & comfortable.
The Taza Mediterranean restaurant & the breakfast was good too and not forgetting the view over looking Taal Lake was stunning. We had an enjoyable & memorable stayed. You will never regret staying here.
We had an overnight stay here , booked thru Agoda. They offered to upgrade our room to premium in a cheaper price .Lakr View wing was a little hassle ,passing the dining area and take the stairs then elevator to the lower level. Room was very spacious and very good view. We have no complains about the room but had difficulty sleeping as you can hear the guests conversation in the other room and in the hallway including all the noise upstairs. Breakfast buffet was good but the dining area is too slippery I need to changed my shoes to a slipper to avoid of getting slipped it's not safe especially to elderly guest. It's also not advisable to sweep the floor when guest are eating imagined the dust / germs that may fall on the food. It's disturbing and disgusting.
Please train your staff more.
